Hoje venho-vos falar do 'I Love Dick' da Chris Kraus.

I already talked a bit about this book on the post about my favourite books of 2019 (you can read it HERE), but I enjoyed it so much that I had to write a blog post about it. So today I'm talking about 'I Love Dick' by Chris Kraus. As I already told you on that same post, it's a book very different from everything I've read, since the story is told through letters and phone calls transcriptions, and it's also a mix between a novel, a memoir, a diary, an art critic, and a homage to feminism. Summing up, Chris (the author of the book, that's why it's also a memoir) falls in love with Dick (who names the book) and, together with her husband, writes love letters to him but doesn't send them. This love triangle goes through different phases, and all of them are very interesting. But, besides all this story that already makes it very hard to stop reading, it also touches on subjects like feminist and art and provides a really interesting way of thinking about gender in the arts. I really think it's a very interesting book, otherwise, I would never include it on my list of favourite books of 2019. I also found out that there is a tv series based on this book so I really want to watch that.
