Coffee Talk #10 | Attached To Little Devices

Um dia destes dei por mim a sair de casa sem o meu telemóvel. Ainda ponderei voltar a casa para o ir buscar, mas estava com pressa e, sinceramente, não ia realmente precisar dele. Era uma ida rápida às compras e o telemóvel não me ia ajudar em nada. Devo-vos confessar que foi estranho, parece que o telemóvel já é um objecto sem o qual não conseguimos viver, estamos tão habituados a tê-lo sempre connosco, que quando nos vimos sem ele, parece estranho. Enquanto esperamos por alguma coisa, fazemos um scroll no instagram; até mesmo enquanto caminhamos, trocamos mensagens e o simples facto de saber que podemos pegar no telemóvel a qualquer momento, mesmo que não seja para fazer nada em concreto, dá-nos uma sensação de comforto que nem nos apercebemos. Só mesmo quando nos vimos sem ele é que percebemos como somos dependentes deste objecto tão banal do nosso dia-a-dia. Será que conseguíamos voltar alguns anos atrás e viver sem o telemóvel? Eu consegui alguns minutos, mas será que conseguimos dias ou até meses? Claro que quando cheguei a casa, a primeira coisa que fiz foi procurar o meu telemóvel e ver todas as notificações que tinha perdido até então, mas aqueles minutos sem ele até que souberam bastante bem!

One of these days I got out of the house and realized I had forgotten my phone. I tought about going back and get it, but I was on a rush and honestly I wouldn't need it. I was just going to get some groceries and the phone wouldn't help me with anything. I must confess it felt weird, looks like our phones are an object that we just can't live without, we are so used to always have with us that it feels weird not to. While we are waiting for something, we are scrolling on instagram; even when we are walking, we are texting and just knowing that we can grab our phone at any time it just gives us such a comfortable feeling that we only realize when we don't have it. Only when we don't have it we are able to realize how dependent we are to this device that we use everyday. Do you think we would be able to go back some years and live without a mobile phone? I could for some minutes, but do you think we could do it for days or even months? Of course when I was back home the first thing I did was to check my phone and see all the notifications I missed, but it felt really good to be without it for some minutes!

O mês está mesmo quase a acabar, por isso aqui está mais uma playlist. O NOS Alive está mesmo aí à porta, por isso tenho andado a ouvir algumas das bandas que vou ver por lá, é sempre mais divertido quando sabemos as letras. A Lisbon Throwback And Why I Love This City So Much

Como sabem, vim passar este fim-de-semana a Lisboa e, como tal, decidi partilhar com vocês estas duas fotos da última vez que lá estive. Lisboa realmente tem uma luz própria, que nenhuma outra cidade tem e é uma cidade que eu adoro, especialmente agora com o tempo mais quente e os dias mais longos. Há sempre alguma coisa nova para ver ou algum evento a acontecer. Vou criar imenso conteúdo para vocês, desde outfits, a sítios e cafés que têm de visitar e espaços que têm de conhecer. As you know I'm spending this weekend in Lisbon and so I decided to share with you this two photos from the last time I was here. Lisbon really has a light of its own and no other city has it like Lisbon, it's a city that I love and I love it even more now when it's warmer and days are longer. There's always something new to see or some event happening. I will create a lot content for you, from outfit posts to places and cafés that you really have to go to. How Colors Change With Our Mood

É engraçado como aquilo que vestimos varia tanto com o nosso estado de espírito e com aquilo que nos rodeia. Uma das coisas que mais influencia aquilo que visto é o tempo que se faz sentir lá fora. Não na roupa que visto, porque isso é bastante óbvio, mas nas cores que escolho. Na semana passada, num daqueles dias de chuva, a minha opção foi logo um look all black. Quando o Sol voltou foi completamente o oposto e usei um look all white. É bastante óbvio que fotografei este outfit num desses dias de céu limpo. Sinceramente, não consigo mesmo explicar porquê, tanto o preto como o branco são cores que adoro e que deveria usar sempre independentemente do tempo, mas em dias cinzentos vou sempre para o preto e cores mais escuras e em dias de Sol vou para o branco e cores mais alegres. Digam-me, também vos acontece isto?

It's funny how what we wear changes based on our mood and what surround us. One of the things that influences the most what I wear is the weather. Not the clothes that I wear because that's quite obvious, but the colors that I choose. Last week in one of those rainy days, my option was right away an all black outfit. When the Sun came back it was the complete opposite and I wore an all white outfit. No need to say that I shot this outfit in one of those sunny days. Honestly, I can't explain why this happens, because black and white are two colors that I love and I should wear them all the time no matter the weather, but on cloudy days I always go for black and darker colors and on sunny days I go for white and brigther colors. Tell me, do this also happens to you?

Where To Eat Healthy In Porto #2

Lembram-se do post em que vos mostrei alguns restaurantes com opções saudáveis cá no Porto (podem ver AQUI)? Então hoje trago-vos uma segunda parte com mais opções. É fantástico ver como cada vez abrem mais cafés e cada vez mais preocupados em seguir uma alimentação saudável. Ora aqui estão mais três sugestões, já conheciam algum?

Do you remember this post where I showed you some restaurants with healthy options here in Porto (you can read HERE)? So today I bring you a second part with more options. It's amazing to see all this new cafés that are opening are really focusing on a healthier menu. So here are three more suggestions, do you know any of these?

PIQUENIQUE 
Fica nas Galerias Lumière e todos os dias tem um prato vegetariano e, sempre que lá comi, tem sido delicioso. Ao prato ainda podem acrescentar uma sopa e bebida e todo este menu fica por apenas 6€. É dos meus preferidos na baixa do Porto, porque além de ser bastante barato, a comida é sempre muito boa.
It's on the Lumière Galleries and everyday they have a vegetarian dish and everytime I ate there it has been delicious. To the dish you can also add a soup and drink and all this menu is only for 6€. It's one of my favourites on central, because it's very cheap and the food is always amazing.

DATERRA 
O daTerra é um restaurante vegetariano a 100% e já conta com várias restaurantes espalhados por várias sítios no Porto, têm desde a baixa até à Foz. O conceito é diferente, pois as refeições são buffet, por isso por 7,5€ (se for durante a semana, ao fim-de-semana passa a 9,9€) podem comer tudo aquilo que quiserem, as vezes que quiserem.
DaTerra is a vegetarian restaurant at 100% that already has restaurants in different places of Porto, from downtown to Foz. The concept is a bit different, because all meals are buffet, so for 7,5€ (if it's a week day, on the weekends it gets 9,9€) you can eat everything you want as many times as you want.

NEGRA CAFÉ 
Também no Negra têm várias opções bastante saudáveis. Uma das minhas refeições preferidas lá são as saladas. Por 7,5€ podem escolher até 8 ingredientes e vêm sempre muito bem servidas. Mas também as tostas valem muito a pena experimentar.
Also at Negra you can find several healthy options. One of my favourite meals over there are the salads. For 7,5€ you can choose until 8 ingredients and they always bring a lot of food. But also the toasts are really good and worth trying.
How To Take An Outfit From Day To Night

Todos nós temos aqueles dias em que temos tanto para fazer que simplesmente não temos tempo de ir a casa mudar de roupa para mudar do outfit do dia-a-dia para um outfit para a noite. Uma das coisas que uso mais vezes agora no Verão é, como sabem, uma t-shirt e saia de ganga. Claro que durante o dia, normalmente uso com sapatilhas e acessórios mais práticos. E como fazer para tornar este outfit mais adequado para uma saída à noite? Uma peça de roupa que adoro e que dá logo um ar mais 'put together' a um outfit é um blazer e um blazer preto não há como errar. Depois basta trocar os sapatos, neste caso usei estas sandálias com um pouco de salto (não muito, porque também o conforto é muito importante) e estes detalhes em dourado. E, por fim, uma mala mais pequena e mais night appropriate. E é assim que troco de um outfit de dia para noite. E vocês, quais são os vossos truques?

We all have those days that we have so many things to do that we just can't find the time to go home and change our clothes from the day to a night outfit. One of the things I wear the most now during Summer is as you know a t-shirt and denim skirt. Obviously during the day I usually wear it with sneakers and some comfy accessories. And how to take this outfit from day to night? A piece of clothing that I love and that always makes an outfit look more put together is a blazer and there's no way to go wrong with a black blazer. Then you just have to change the shoes, I wore this sandals with a bit of a heel (but not too much, because comfort is very important) and this golden details. And last, but not least, a smaller bag more night appropriate. And that's how I change an outfit from day to night. But tell me, what are your tricks?

Aqui está mais uma 'week on film'. O bom tempo finalmente voltou (apesar de de vez em quando começar uma chuva assim do nada), o que me dá logo mais vontade para fotografar. Adoro as fotos em que podemos ver o céu azul, acho que ficam mesmo muito bonitas. Here is another 'week on film'. The warm weather is finally here (although sometimes it starts raining from nowhere) which gets me way more excited to shoot. Visto que ontem começaram os saldos, hoje deixo-vos com alguns desejos do momento. Since yesterday the sale season begun, today I show you some of my wishes of the moment. To me honest with you, I don't have anything that I really want to buy, all the things I really wanted aren't on sale, so there's nothing that makes me go to the store and buy it right away. It's the case of this bag, I'm really thinking about buying it, but of course it's not on sale. I know that everyone already has this bag, but I really like it and it's the perfect bag for Summer. I've been wanting to bring you this post for a while now, a London travel guide. It's a post that takes a lot of time and after getting all the info here is my guide for this city that I love so much. I have been there five times so I think I can say that I know the city very well. Já há algum tempo que não fazia um outfit recap, por isso aqui está uma com alguns dos outfits que partilhei com vocês nos últimos tempos. Andava bem na onda dos vestidos e saias, mas rapidamente tive de me mudar novamente para as calças por causa do tempo. Mas parece que as vou poder usar outra vez, tem estado bem quente nos últimos dias e, finalmente, posso-vos mostrar algumas roupas novas que tenho. It has been a while since I did an outfit recap, so here it is with some of the outfits I shared with you lately. I was really into dresses and skirts, but quickly I had to change it again for pants because of the weather. But it looks like I can wear them again, it's has been really hot this last couple of days and I will finally be able to show you some new clothes that I have. New In | Summer Sandals

A maior parte dos meus sapatos são pretos, como tal andava à procura de umas sandálias que mesmo que não sendo pretas, ficassem bem com muita da minha roupa. Vi-as na Samantha Maria e, apesar de serem camel, pareceram-me perfeitas. É uma cor que não uso imensas vezes, mas acho que vão combinar muito bem com todas as outras cores que eu ando a adorar ultimamente. Já as usei uma vez e posso confirmar que são bastante confortáveis, andei de um lado para o outro na baixa e não me incomodaram uma única vez. Acho que vão ser as sandálias do meu Verão, aquelas sandálias que vou usar vezes sem conta, porque simplesmente ficam bem com tudo. O que vocês acham, gostam?

Most of my shoes are black so I was looking for a pair of sandals that despite not being black would look good with lots of my clothes. I saw this ones on Samantha Maria and although they're in camel, they looked perfect to me. It's a color that I don't use much, but I think it will look great with all the other colors I've been loving lately. I already wore them once so I can confirm that they're very comfortable, I walked around in the city center and they didn't bother me once. I really think this are going to be the sandals of my Summer, those that I will wear over and over again, just because they look good with everything. What do you think, like them?
These Jeans Were Very Cheap, But Were They Worth It?

Já vos mostrei estas calças por aqui algumas vezes, gosto imenso delas, mas com o tempo estão a ficar um pouco estragadas. Foram super baratas, penso que nem chegaram aos 20€ o que para umas calças de ganga é fantástico e, claro, que com este preço não se está à espera da melhor qualidade do mundo, mas com o tempo têm ganho bastantes defeitos. Além dos bolsos não assentarem muito bem, também a cinta fica cada vez mais larga de dia para dia. Vou continuar a usá-las, até porque não é por isso que deixei de gostar delas, mas talvez se fosse hoje não as comprava. Moral da história - às vezes mais vale investir neste tipo de peças e saber que vamos ter umas calças de ganga boas durante imenso tempo, do que comprar umas baratas que passado umas quantos utilizações começam a ganhar certos defeitos. É também uma mental note para mim, porque às vezes é difícil resistir à etiqueta com um preço tão apetecível!

I already showed you this jeans here several times, I really like them, but with time they're getting a bit ruined. They were really cheap, I think they were even less than 20€ which is great for a pair of jeans and of course that with this price you don't expect the best qualit ever, but with time they're just getting a lot of defects. The pockets aren't looking great and the waist just keeps getting larger and larger. I will keep wearing them, because that's not why I stop liking them, but if it was today I don't think I would buy them. Moral of the story -sometimes it's better to invest in this kind of pieces and know that you will have a pair of jeans that will last a long time than to buy some cheaper ones and after a while they just keep getting worst. This is also a mental note to me, because sometimes it's hard to resist a price tag with such an appealing price!

Coffee Talk #9 | Don't Hate It, Just Because You Can't Understand It

Tenho vindo-me a aperceber que tudo aquilo que as pessoas não conseguem perceber, vão à partida odiar e até mesmo gozar. Estou neste caso a falar de roupa e já aconteceu comigo diversas vezes e nem considero que use peças assim tão estranhas, mas, por exemplo, sempre que uso os slippers com pelo é certo que vou ter muitos olhares na minha direcção (ou na direcção dos meus pés neste caso). Mas é também engraçado, porque também essas pessoas que à partida gozam, passado uns anos, quando se torna uma tendência em massa, passam a usar também. Lembro-me de há alguns anos atrás dobrar as calças para cima, para ficar com os tornozelos de fora e lembro-me também de ouvir comentários por causa disso mesmo e, hoje em dia, já existem modelos à venda com esse mesmo comprimento (ainda o meu preferido btw), é engraçado como dá a volta a passa a ser uma tendência que toda a gente adere. É por isso que adoro cidades como Londres, onde se vêm pessoas com estilos super diferentes, mas essas pessoas são aplaudidas por essa diferença. Ok, às vezes podemos não perceber certa coisa e termos a certeza que nunca vamos usar algo daquele género, mas isso não significa que seja feio, apenas não é o nosso estilo. Por isso, não odeiem aquilo que não percebem, valorizem antes o quão corajosa a pessoa teve de ser para usar o que está a usar!
I've been noticing that everything people don't understand, they will hate it or even mock it. I'm speaking about clothes and it has happened to me several times and I don't even consider that I wear such outrageous clothes, but for example everytime I wear my furry slippers I'm sure people will look. But it's also funny that those people that mock it, after a while, when it becomes a huge trend, they also start wearing it. I remember some years ago foldingg my pants up so they get by my ankle and I heard so many comments about it, now stores sell pants in that lenght (still my favourite btw), it's funny how it all goes around and it's now a trend that everyone wears. That's why I love cities like London where people with different styles are applaud for that difference. Okay, somtimes we might not understand something and be pretty sure that we will never wear something like that, but that doesn't mean it's ugly, it just means it's not our style. Apresento-vos o meu novo melhor amigo para combater aquelas borbulhas bem chatas que, de vez em quando, teimam a aparecer. Já vos tinha falado deste produto quando vos falei da BeMyCare NESTE post. E antes de vos falar das maravilhas que este produto tem feito à minha pele, aproveito-vos para dizer que a BeMyCare agora chama-se BMCPharma e o número de produtos que estão à venda também aumentou, por isso só coisas boas. Mas quanto ao Uriage Hyséac Bi Stick também só tenho coisas boas a dizer. Depois de experimentar várias receitas caseiras (sem grandes resultados, infelizmente), quis experimentar um produto que me ajudasse com as borbulhas. Adoro este produto da Uriage porque é dois em um. De um lado tem um pincel com uma loção que seca as imperfeições, ao mesmo tempo que confere uma acção calmante. Do outro lado tem um stick que disfarça as imperfeições e também com uma acção calmante e anti-bacteriana. Normalmente, uso sempre os dois em conjunto. Primeiro aplico a loção e deixo secar alguns segundos e de seguida o stick e esbato com pequenos toques com o dedo. Estou completamente fã! Já conheciam este produto?

And before telling you all about the amazing things this product has been doing to my skin, let me tell you that BeMyCare is now BMCPharma and now they have a bigger range of products, so only good things. But about the Uriage Hyséac Bi Stick I also only have good things to say. After trying several different homemade recipes (without any good results unfortunately), I wanted to try a product that really helped me with pimples. I love this product by Uriage because is two in one. In one side there's a brush with a lotion that dries the imperfections and at the same time has a soothing effect. On the other side there's a stick that covers imperfections and also with a soothing and anti-bacterial action. Usually I always use the two together. First I aplly the lotion, let it dry for a few seconds and then I use the stick and cover it with small touches with my finger. I'm a fan! Have you ever heard about this product?
