Friday means ´Things I´ve Loved This Week` so today I bring that post that I enjoy writing so much. I like it because I love sharing this kind of things with you. Not fashion related, but that also inspire me and caught my attention during the week. I hope you like them and if you have more suggestions, leave them on the comments below.

TV Show: Love Life

I haven´t finished this TV show yet, but I´m really enjoying it. It´s about relationships, not only love ones, and how they can transform us. It´s really good, and it´s a light story, perfect to get away from reality for a little while.

Podcast Episode: Catarina Wallenstein from A Minha Vida Dava Um Filme

I started listening to this podcast recently, but I already listen to a few episodes. One of the newest ones is this interview with the actress Catarina Wallenstein. I really liked listening to their talk, and it´s good to listen to three smart women talking about important subjects.

Youtube Channel: Jess Alizzi

I followed Jess on Instagram for a while now, but only recently I found her Youtube channel. I really love her videos, especially the fashion-related ones. I love her style so it has been a huge dose of inspiration.

Estou a falar do Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass da Lana del Rey.

It was one my reading list for a while and, finally, I decided to buy it. I´m talking about Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass by Lana Del Rey. As you know, I´m a huge fan of the artist, I have all her albums, so when I knew she was going to launch a poetry book, I was beyond excited. And it didn´t disappoint. Having this book in my hands is like holding a masterpiece. It´s so well thought, and I loved the layout and, obviously, all the poems as well. It´s always very hard for me to review a poetry book since it´s not something I read regularly, but these poems really touched me. They are extremely personal, even more than her songs, I felt like I got to know on another level. These are poems about love, fame and happiness. The book also shows photos by her, something that I truly loved. I really enjoyed reading it, and even if you´re not a fan of the artist, I think it´s a book that anyone will like.

"I love u

But u don´t understand me

You see

I´m a real poet

My life is my poetry

My lovemaking is my legacy"

Digam-me, gostam deste outfit?

Who doesn´t love a white shirt? It really is one of my favourite pieces of clothing in my wardrobe, it´s so versatile. You just have to take a look at my latest outfits to realize that I wear white shirts a lot. And, even though they are quite light for this time of the year, I also wear them during the colder seasons. It´s one of my favourite pieces of clothing to create some layers with, and the options are endless. The thing you see the most is wearing it under some kind of top, either it´s a jumper or a sweatshirt, something that I´m a fan of. But, lately, I´m really into wearing them over a top, just like I´m wearing on this outfit. It´s something so simple, but that I´ve never thought about until I saw something like that on a store that I went to. And that´s why I love Autumn so much, there are so many layers you can create in different outfits. But now tell me, do you like it?

I´m going through a phase that I´m really bored with my hair. I want to do something different, but nothing too wild and, while I don´t make up my mind about that, I´ve been loving to try out new hairstyles. It really is one of the greatest things about having long hair, being able to try new hairstyles. So here are three that I´ve been loving right now.

The Bubble Ponytail

It might look really hard to do, but the bubble ponytail is really easy to create. You just have to do the regular ponytail and then with some extra rubber bands create different sections in your hair, maintaining the same distance between them. Then you just have to loosen up the sections to create the bubble effect.

The Low Ponytail

Also, the low ponytail is something I´ve been using a lot. I really like it since I find it more relaxed and equally easy to do. You just have to do a ponytail lower in your head. I really like to see this hairstyle with a scrunchie.

The Hair Clip

From all the hairstyles I showed you, to me, this is the hardest. Actually is very simple, you just have to tie your hair around and hold it together with a hair clip, but my problem is that I have a lot of hair and sometimes it can be hard to hold all my hair with just one hair clip. The trick is to be patient and get a very large hair clip, if it gets messy, it kind is the point of this hairstyle anyway.

Cool.

Cool. It's an aesthetic of attitude, behaviour, comportment, appearance and style which is generally admired. If you search online that's the definition you will find out of cool. But what does cool really mean? I think we all want to achieve coolness, and I'm sure you already met some people who thought they were so cool, but, in your opinion, they just aren't. But the truth is that that person might be cool to someone else. Does that mean that there are different meanings of cool? I sure know mine. To me, a cool person is someone who doesn't try too much. Someone who looks effortless and confident, but also with a great sense of style and a good attitude. Do you know what I mean? Sometimes I like to think of myself of someone cool,  but does a cool person know she's cool? Isn't contradictory to self-claim ourselves as cool if that's something that you either have or not? I think we all just have to agree that coolness doesn't have just one meaning, but agree that we know it when we see it, either if it's someone we see down the street, or ourselves. (Please don't count how many times I wrote down cool in this blog post, I know it was a lot).

After reading Caim by José Saramago, I read a lot of reviews comparing that book with 'The Gospel According To Jesus Christ' so I knew right away which book by this author I was going to read next. I can totally see the similarities, both critic religion, but this novel, against the first one that tells the story of Caim, focuses on Jesus Christ life and the writer shows us his own interpretation of his life. On this novel we see Jesus through his teenage years, being educated by the devil and losing his virginity to a whore. For catholic people, this book can come as a shock, but Saramago always identify as an atheist and I think you can totally get what you will find in this book. Once again, I totally related to his vision of religion, especially when he shows us God and Satan, showcasing his similarities, something that's rare to find in literature nowadays. Even though I really enjoyed this book, I found Caim more interesting (you can read my review HERE), but I still think that you will love this book if you're into Saramago and his work. Highly recommend it.

As promised, here is the last part of the analogue photoshoot. Film photography really has a kind of magic impossible to capture in any other way. And, of course, the whole process is also an amazing experience. I love that moment when I finish shooting and I get really excited to see how the photos turn out. That's what happened with these photos, I wanted to see the result so badly. The location was gorgeous so I wanted to see if that was showcased on the photos. I really want to bring more analogue content here to the blog. Well, I hope you like these photos as much as I do. You can see the first part HERE.

Here are some photos from my phone's camera roll. Some of them I already shared on Instagram, but it's something so momentary that I rather share them here as well. With the days getting colder, I've been spending more and more time at cafés, I have a lot near my house so I have been taking advantage of that. And that's what you can see in these photos. I hope you like them and if you want to see them first you can follow me on Instagram as well.

The analogue photoshoots are back and since we're in Autumn, I decided to focus on knitwear. I think it's part of everyone's wardrobe during the colder seasons and they are the warm hug we need on those cold crispy days. It really is one of the best feelings to wear a cosy and warm jumper when it's cold outside. And, for that season, I'm really into investing in good quality knitwear. You can totally feel the difference when a garment is made of natural fibres like wool ou cashmere. I rather have less quantity, but more quality. And even on second-hand stores, you can find affordable knitwear with good quality. It's the case of the jumper I'm wearing on these photos that will be available on Tarda very soon. Well, I hope you like the photos and stay tuned because this week I will post the second part of this photoshoot.

Get over it.

This is a topic I've been wanting to talk about for a while, but I never knew how to start it (well, it looks like I just did). Since childhood that we girls wait for the day to start wearing a bra. It's almost like a ritual until we start doing it and realize how uncomfortable it is. I always hated wired bras, but it was what all girls wore and so, at the time, I also wanted to wear them. When we are young we want to belong to a certain group, we want to be just like everyone else and to be a girl meant to wear a bra every single day, even if it was painfully uncomfortable. I wore them for a few years, but I reach an age where I fell comfortable enough not to wear a bra. I have small breasts and I have that freedom. I don't need a lot of support and even aesthetically I like to see. We all have nipples, so what's the big deal if you see them through a t-shirt or a fitted top. It's the case of this outfit, and to be honest with you, a couple of years ago I would go to Photoshop and remove the texture of my nipples, but luckily, nowadays, I just can't see what's so wrong about it. We have to get over it. It's a society problem if we sexualize women's breasts so much, not mine, so I will keep leaving my bras at home, even if it is offensive to you.

It has been a while since the last time I shared with you the things I've loved during the week, so it was about time to write this post once again. On my Instagram, I end up sharing some of these things, but here I can share even more and talk about them with you. Tell me, what did catch your attention this week?

After a few hours without knowing what to write about, I got this idea after watching a vlog by one of my favourite YouTubers. I don't know if it's the most popular content on Youtube, but it's definitely the kind of videos I enjoy the most watching. The truth is that vlogs can be quite boring after all is just one person doing the most mundane things, but every time I see there's a new vlog to watch, I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning seeing all her gifts. It's so recomforting for me to know that at the end of the day, I can drink a glass of wine while watching a vlog. Are vlogs the new reality TV? I mean, the Kardashians already announced the end of their show, so we have to replace them with something. But now seriously, this also makes sense to me, because, just like I enjoy vlogs, I also enjoy reality TV. And vlogs are even more real, there are no scrip or rehearsal scenes. It's so simple and so raw that I really enjoy watching. And through vlogs I can also find loads of inspiration, I can find outfits I want to wear or new books to read. It's the simplicity that's very attractive to me. But let me know what you think about this. Are vlogs your favourite kind of videos to watch on Youtube as well? And don't forget to give thumbs up and subscribe to the channel (just kidding).

Some people told me about Rosa Et Tal a while ago, but only a couple of days ago I decided to finally go there and know this place. If you go there during the week, you will find the door closed since it also works as a guest house, but just knock on the door and you will be greeted with an amazing café and a beautiful garden. It really is one of those places that makes you want to spend hours there. I really loved the garden. It's the perfect place to spend an Autumn afternoon with a cappuccino in hand, and it was exactly what I did. For the cappuccino and a slice of banana bread, I paid 7€. I found it a bit more expensive than usual, but the place really makes it worth it. I went there during the week as I've told you, so the kitchen wasn't fully working, but during the weekend they serve brunch, something that I really want to try. So I already have another good reason to go back there. Did you already know this place?
