Instagram, we used to be friends. Good were the times when our feed were shown chronologically and people actually saw the photos we posted. You can find tones of posts and videos on how to beat the instagram algorithm, but there's no formula. The algorithm is trying to determinate what people like and want to see, but from my own experience I don't always get shown what I most want to see and if I'm following someone is because I want to see their content. Not fun! Everyone hates the new algorithm (unless you are a Kardashian and you get millions of likes anyway) so can we please go back to what instagram used to be? I still love this social media app and to share images with you over there, but when organic reach and engagement continues to decline, you feel stagnant. Ultimately, it's all about the content and that's what I'm focusing right now, creating content that I like and that hopefully you will as well. Sorry for another post venting on the instagram algorithm, but I had to get it out, the f*ucking algorithm!

Lately looks like blogs and youtube go hand in hand. Everyday there's a new blog being born, but that also happens in youtube and who has a blog, also has a youtube channel. I confess that I had thought about it, a lot of people tell me to do it, but do all bloggers have to also be youtubers? It looks like the natural step for all bloggers and I understand that makes you closer to your readers, it's a different kind of content and let's be honest, can bring you a lot of income. But it doesn't feel natural to me. I like to write and to share photos with you and that's something I will never be able to translate into a video, also because I don't think I'm very good at speaking in videos. There's people who are really good and there's people who aren't and I'm pretty sure I'm in the latter category. I also came to this conclusion, because on the last trip I did to London we decided to record a vlog (that it's almost done, btw). It's true that it's a tone of fun to watch those videos and a great way to remember the trips you did, but I also realized that I hate editing videos. It's just a pain in the ass, it takes a lot of time, it's really tiring and it's just not for me (congrats to all the youtubers who do daily blogs, I don't know how it's humanly possible, but well done!). Maybe one day I will change my mind and I'll start a youtube channel, but right now it's not going to happen. So no, not all bloggers have to be youtubers and I'm the proof of that!

Creating new content on a daily basis for the blog can be quite hard, but at the same time I have learned a lot. It was a couple of years ago that I decided to do a new post every day and the truth is that I am not always inspired, but those are the times that you learn the most. Here are three things I've learned by creating daily content!

ORGANIZATION IS EVERYTHING
A palavra chave é organização.
Organization is the key word. With posts eveyday you need know which post is going to be live each day. The outfit posts are the main thing here on the blog, so I have to think about all the other posts. I already told you about Trello that is were I organize myself weekly, but you can do the same with a notebook.

WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING
Everytime you have an idea, write it down! On a notebook, on your cellphone, it doesn't matter, the main thing is to write it down, because you will probably not have that same idea twice. I have a note on my cellphone with all the ideas I already had and it helps me a lot when I don't know what to write about. It was what happened today, this was one of the topics I had in there.

INSPIRATION IS EVERYWHERE
Inspiration is everywhere and it's really important to be aware of that. I love reading other blogs, magazines are getting better and better with their articles and there are website with amazing content. Those are the kind of things that are going to inspire you. So read a lot, see editorials from magazines or just go to tumblr and you will feel inpired for sure.

Last week I went to BeMyCare to know their store dedicated to the sale of dermocosmetic products in the city center, but they also have an online store where you can find all the products. Always with a custom advice for you, I was able to know more about my skin so today I have some tips to share with you so you can also get a beautiful skin.

KNOW THE ORDER FOR EVERY PRODUCT
There's a proper order for every product, so always plan out your skincare routine by product. That's why I like this two products by Nuxe so much, the Nuxe Nuxellence Éclat and the Nuxe Nuxellence Detox, the first one to use in the morning and the last one at night, together they have been amazing to my skin.

LOOK OUT FOR NATURAL INGREDIENTS
A lot of the products we use on our skin are full with chemicals that can really damage our skin. That's why it's so important to always see which ingredients are in each product you use and if they're natural the better. Like the products I mention above, the main ingredients are passiflora flower, extract of poppy petals and leaves of galanda, so they are all good.

UNDERSTAND WHICH PRODUCTS WORK FOR YOU
Knowing which products work for your skin can take some time and you have to try several products until you find the right ones for you. But a product that has been amazing for my skin and that has been helping me to fight those ungly pimples that sometimes decide to show up is the Uriage Hyséac Bi Skin Corrector, that besides taking care of the pimple, it also has a stick that helps to hide it, two in one! It's my new best friend to fight all the imperfections.
We started our morning at Jardim Botânico
I just love this house you can find there, the color, the floor, so so pretty!
And we decided to have a picnic in there
And here I am with my cappuccino and ready to eat the pancakes
Li with the t-shirt I gave her for Christmas, pretty cool, right?
It was also a kind of a different Sunday from usual
We got some new tattoos and here I am getting them done

Some more film photos and this time I decided to take some photos during my day. It was exactly a week ago, on Sunday, and it was a very different Sunday from usual. Despite being quite cloudy, we went to Botânico garden where we had a picnic and shoot our outfits (you can see mine HERE). On the afternoon, it was time to do some more tattoos and that's why I told you it was quite a different Sunday. If you follow me on instagram you already knew it, but stay tuned because very soon I will show you the final result. Maybe I'll do a post showing you all my tattoos, what do you think? Well, I hope you like the photos and have a great Sunday!

After years and years of blogging and creating new content on a daily basis, this all thing can become quite mechanical. You choose an outfit, you shoot on the same old spots because you know it will good and let's be honest, it's way easier and faster, you edit the photos the same way you did the day before and you write the post early in the morning to get it live right on time. It just gets really mechanical and you can loose the joy of it all. But I haven't, because to me it really works out this way. I like to have everything organized and know what I'm going to post each day, but that doesn't mean I don't like to change things up a little bit once in a while and do something differently. That's why I really enjoy doing editorials with a different team than usual, that's why I've been playing with film photography lately and that's why in this post I shot this photos on a place I have never shot before. Because although I still love the minimal shapes at Casa da Música or the industrial vibe at Galerias de Paris, it also feels really good to actually explore the city and find a new place to shoot at. So no, I haven't lost the joy of blogging, I still love it very much and actually I've been feeling really inspired lately. I hope you like the photos!

And after a while, here is another #WhereToEat. The truth is that I've been going to new coffee shops here in Porto, but I just don't think they're worth sharing with you, but it's definitely not the case of Combi. Really close to the city center, but on a quieter place, Combi is the perfect place to enjoy a good coffee and that's exactly their specialty. Besides all the variety of coffee (that you can also ask to take away), you can also find sweet and savory pastries, açai bowls (that I really want to try next time) and smoothies. The place is also very cute, no one would tell that before Combi it was a garage, it looks really cozy right now. As a fan of coffee as I am, I really liked this place, there's even people who say that it's the best coffee in Porto, of course I had to see it (or taste it) for myself!

I feel that lately instagram has getting a bad reputation. Of course I can't deny that all we see in there it's what people want us to and that isn't always the reality, but isn't that what end up inspiring us all the time? Humans are visual creatures so why wouldn't we want to see a beautiful picture? Even if that same picture took 10 minutes to take and other 10 minutes to edit. We just have to be aware that no ones is perfect and that photo that we saw on instagram is a mix of filters, angles, good light and only one photo that makes it out of hundreds and that's totally fine, because on the end I want to see that one photo that turns out to be the best, because that's the one that is going to inspire me and that I will probably save. We say so many times that there's no reality on social media, but do you think we really want to see the reality? Instagram to me has always been a way to express myself creatively and to share beautiful photos. I only shoot photos for instagram when I'm feeling my very best, that's not my reality all the time, I'm not always wearing make-up and with a cute outfit worth sharing on instagram, but aren't we all like this? Honestly when I go to instagram I just want to look at pretty photos of other bloggers with very aesthetically pleasing coffee with some inspirational caption. Reality or not, that's what I like about instagram!
