Fatos, quem não os adora? São uma das grandes tendências desta estação (o que é sempre um excelente razão para comprar um novo numa cor ou padrão diferente) e fazem-nos sempre sentir tão bem, pelo menos falo por mim. Talvez por em tempos terem sido uma peça estritamente dedicada ao vestuário masculino ou por serem extremamente fáceis de usar, mas sempre que uso um sinto-me um autêntica #girlboss. Acho que têm este efeito em todas as mulheres, por isso é que cada vez encontramos mais opções nas lojas e, afinal de contas, chamam-lhes de power suits por alguma razão. Já sabem que eu gosto de usá-los sempre com sapatilhas, para um look mais casual, por isso foi a altura perfeita para estrear as minhas novas sapatilhas da EGO. Mas digam-me, gostam deste outfit? E também são fãs do power suit?
Suits. Who doesn't love them? They're one of the biggest trends for this season (which it's always a very good reason to buy a new one in a different color or print) and they always make us feel so good, I speak for myself. Maybe because they used to be strictly dedicated to men's clothing or because they're extremely easy to wear, but everytime I'm wearing one I feel like a real #girlboss. I think this happens with every women, that's why there are so many new options in stores and after all they call it the power suit for a reason. You already know that I like to wear mine with trainers for a more casual look, so it was the perfect time to wear my new trainers from EGO for the first time. But tell me, do you like this outfit? Como vos disse, esta edição tinha resolvido registar alguns momentos no Portugal Fashion de forma diferente e essa forma era em filme. Estas fotos são o resultado disso mesmo, podem ver algumas fotos de alguns desfiles e também do backstage. Quanto às minhas colecções preferidas, este ano fiz questão de ir ao primeiro dia que é sempre dedicado aos jovens criadores, porque, sinceramente, são os desfiles que gosto mais. Como são designers que ainda estão a começar, quase que parece que não têm barreiras e levam a sua criatividade até ao limite, é realmente uma lufada de ar fresco. Uma das minhas colecções preferidas deste dia foi a da Nycole, não sei porquê, mas acabo sempre por gostar mais das colecções masculinas e esta edição não foi excepção. Já dos outros dias, tenho também de mencionar o Hugo Costa e o David Catalán. Da colecção do Hugo Costa, gostei que desta vez arriscou bem mais com as cores, gostei imenso do equilíbrio entre formas simples e cores fortes. Da colecção do David Catalán há um look que não me sai da cabeça e que usava já (sim, é de homem, mas whatever). Era um look total em bombazine num tom de verde menta mesmo muito bonito, mas toda a colecção estava fantástica. Vocês acompanharam o Portugal Fashion? Qual foi a vossa colecção preferida?
As I told you before, this season I decided to capture some moments at Portugal Fashion Week in a different way and that way was on film. This is final result, you can see some photos from the shows and also from the backstage. About my favourite collections, this year I really wanted to go to the first day that it's always dedicated to the younger designers, because honestly this are the shows that I enjoy the most. Since they're starting up, it almost feels like they have no boundaries and take their creativity to the limits, it really is a breath of fresh hair. One of my favourite collections from this day was Nycole's, I don't know why, but I always end up liking more men's collections and this season was no exception. About the other days, I have to mention Hugo Costa and David Catalán. From Hugo Costa's collection, I really like that this time he played a lot more with colors, I loved the balance between simple shapes and bright colors. From David Catalán's collection there's a look that I can't take out of my head and I would wear right now (yes, it's for men, but whatever). It's a full corduroy look in a really beautiful shade of mint green, but the whole collection was amazing. Did you keep up with Portugal Fashion? Which collection was your favourite?

Sabem a típica frase "nunca digas nunca"? É tão verdade em tantos aspectos da nossa vida e até mesmo naquilo que vestimos. Já muitas vezes disse que nunca iria usar certa peça ou tendência e passado alguns anos lá estou eu a usar. Chega mesmo a ser irónico, mas de alguma forma passamos a ver essa tendência de outra forma e tudo o que tínhamos dido até então vai por água a baixo. Estas são algumas dessas tendências que agora me farto de usar. Digam-me, quais são para vocês as tendências que costumavam odiar e agora adoram?
Do you know the quote "never say never"? Well, it's so true in many aspects of our lives and even about what we wear. I've said so many times I would never wear a certain piece or trend and some years later there I am wearing it. It's kind of ironic, but somehow we look at those trends in a different way and we just forget about what we have been saying about them. These are some of those trends that now I wear all the time. Tell me, which trends are the ones that you used to hate and now love?

 DENIM ON DENIM
A primeira é aquela que estou a usar neste outfit, ganga com ganga. A verdade é que nunca achei muita piada, sempre achei muito Britney Spears e Justin Timberlake no ínicio dos anos 2000, sabem? Claro que nesse caso era too much, mas agora adoro ver e com as peças certas resulta muito bem.
The first one is the one I'm wearing in this outfit, denim on denim. The truth is that I wasn't a fan, I have always found it very Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in the early 2000, you know? Of course that was too much, but now I love seeing it and with the right pieces works really well.

 CORDUROY
Acho que todos passamos por isso este Inverno. A bombazine era aquele tecido que odiávamos quando éramos mais novos e que não queríamos usar por nada neste mundo, mas este Inverno veio em força e conquistou-nos o coração. Desde casacos, a calças, não faltou nada no nosso armário. 
I think this happened to everytone this Winter. Corduroy was the fabric that we all used to hate when we were younger and there were no way we would wear it, but this Winter came with full force and just got our hearts. From coats to pants, we got everything in our closets.

 OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
Outra tendência que já me viram usar por aqui, mas que no início nunca me convenceu muito. Sempre achei que as botas over the knee tinham um aspecto vulgar, lembravam-me sempre a cena em Pretty Woman em que a Julia Roberts usa umas. Mas mais uma vez, bastou ver combinado com outras peças e comprei umas para mim.
Another trend that you've seen me wearing a lot, but on the beginning I wasn't really into it. I always look at over the knee boots as a bit tacky, they always reminded me a scene at Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts uses ones. But once again, I just had to see them next to other pieces and I bought a pair for myself.

 FLARES
Na altura em que apareceram as skinny jeans e que eram a única coisa que usávamos, se me dissessem que ia usar calças flare uns anos mais tarde, provavelmente, diria que estavam doidos. É mesmo daquelas coisas que nunca pensei que fosse usar, mas adoro a moda dos anos 70 e claro que agora sou super fã das calças flare, tanto as mais compridas, como as kick flare.
At the time that skinny jeans emerge and they were the only thing we wore, if someone told me I would  wear flare jeans some years later, I would probably say that you were insane. It really is one of those things that I never thought I would wear, but I love the 70s fashion and of course now I'm a big fan of flare jeans, both the very long ones and the kick flare.

"Olá, o meu nome é Helena e estou viciada em ugly trainers". Sim, leram bem, sapatilhas feias. Daquelas bem chunky, muito Balenciaga inspired. Há umas estações foi a tendência das sandálias feias (quem se lembra das Birkenstock?) e agora é a vez das sapatilhas. Eu adoro esta tendência, acho que dão sempre um ar muito cool aos outfits. Já vos tinha falado que andava à procura de um par em branco e, finalmente, encomendei estas. Estas não são bem brancas, são nude, mas acho que ainda gosto mais assim. São super confortáveis (são sapatilhas afinal de contas) e já tenho imensas ideias de como as usar. Estas, infelizmente, já estão esgotadas, mas viciada como estou, não me fiquei por aqui. Encomendei ainda outras nuns tons mais escuros, mas essas ficam para um outro post. Esta é mesmo daquelas tendências que ou se adora, ou se odeia, de que lado é que vocês estão?

"Hi, my name is Helena and I'm addicted to ugly trainers". Yes, you don't need to read again, I said ugly trainers. Really chunky and very Balenciaga inspired. Some seasons ago the trend was the ugly sandals (who doesn't remembers Birkenstock?) and now it's time for trainers. I love this trend, I think they always give such a cool vibe to the outfits. I've already told you that I was looking for a pair in white and I finally ordered this ones. These aren't white, they're nude, but I think I like them even more this way. They're super comfortable (they're trainers after all) and I already have tones of ideas on how to wear them. Unfortunately these ones are already sold out, but addicted as I am right now I already ordered another pair in some darker shades, but those are for another post. This really is a trend that either you love it or hate it, in which side are you?

Há uns tempos falei-vos das tendências que estou mais entusiasmada para usar esta Primavera (podem ler tudo AQUI) e aqui estou eu a usar mais uma delas, a cor lavanda. As cores pastéis não são grande novidade na Primavera, acho que são cores que voltam sempre nesta altura do ano, quer seja o verde mente ou o millennial pink, mas a lavanda (ou lilás) veio em força esta estação e de certa forma até é novidade. É uma cor que gosto imenso de ver com ganga, por isso desta vez optei por uns jeans, mas mal posso esperar por usar esta camisa com uma saia de ganga quando o tempo estiver mais quente. Outra opção, que também quero muito experimentar, é juntar com outras cores pastéis, uma espécie de color block um pouco mais suave, acho que é uma combinação que é capaz de resultar bastante bem. O que vocês acham? Gostavam de ver? E já agora, não se esqueçam de me dizer o que acham deste outfit!

Some time ago I've talked about the trends I'm most excited to wear this Spring (you can ready everything HERE) and here I am wearing one of them, the lavender color. The pastels colors always come around during Spring, it's not big news, either it's mint green or the millennial pink, but lavender (or lilac) it's really here to stay and in someway it's kind of new. It's a color that I really like to see next do denim, so this time I wore it with jeans, but I can't wait to wear this shirt with a denim skirt once it's gets warmer. Another option that I really want to try, it's to wear it with other pastel colors, a bit like a very soft color block, I think it may work out really well. What do you think? Como já vos disse, anda cada vez mais a tentar comer mais saudável e até mesmo fazer refeições vegetarianas. Continuo a comer carne, mas em muito menos quantidade. Mas quando comemos fora, é bem mais difícil comer mais saudável, por isso hoje tenho para vocês três restaurantes cá no Porto em que podem saborear refeições deliciosas, mas sempre saudáveis. Conhecem algum deles?

As I told you before, I'm really trying to eat healthier and even do some vegetarian meals. I'm still eating meat, but way less than before. But when you're eating out, it's way harder to eat healthy, so today I have for you three restaurants here in Porto where you can eat some delicious meals, but healthy as well. Do you know any of these?

NOSHI COFFEE
Já vos falei do Noshi por aqui, mas cada vez gosto mais de lá ir. Para almoçar, é mesmo dos meus sítios preferidos na baixa. O menu de almoço são 8,9€ e tem incluído bebida, sopa, o prato do dia (que é sempre uma delícia e muito saudável) e café. As opções para lanche também são muito boas, experimentem as panquecas de aveia, são magníficas. 
I've already talked you about Noshi, but I like more and more to go there. To have lunch it really is one of my favourite places in the city center. The menu is 8,9€ and you get a drink, soup, the dish of the day (that's it's always really delicious and healthy) and coffee. The options for breakfast are also really nice, try out the oat pancakes, they're really good.

PICABA NATURAL CAFÉ 
O Picaba podem encontrar mesmo ao pé da praia de Matosinhos (esplanada com vista para a praia é sempre um bónus) e também têm excelentes opções para almoço e lanche. É dos meus sítios preferidos para comer açaí, é realmente muito bom. As saladas também valem a pena experimentar, têm das mais simples às mais completas, para agradar a todos os gostos.
You can find Picaba right in front ot the beach (a terrace with a view to the beach is always a plus) and you also have really nice options for breakfast and lunch. It's one of my favourite places to eat açaí, it's really good. The salads are also worth trying, from the simple ones to others a bit more complete, you have options for all tastes.

BRICK CLÉRIGOS 
No Brick podem comer saladas, tábua de queijos, pizza de batata doce, mas eu fiquei mesmo fã das tostas. São óptimas para uma refeição, porque ainda são bastante grandes e têm com os mais diversos ingredientes, a que gosto mais é mesmo a de abacate e camarão. Se estão a pensar lá ir, convém fazer reserva. Está sempre cheio e, além da esplanada, só têm uma mesa grande que é partilhada. 
At Brick you can eat salads, cheese boards, sweet potato pizza, but I'm a big fan of their toasts. They're perfect for a meal, because they're quite big and they have the most diverse ingredients, my favourite is the one with avocado and shrimps. If you're thinking about going there, you should make a reservation. It's always full and besides the terrace, they only have one big table to share inside.

O mês está quase a chegar ao fim e, por isso, hoje partilho com vocês a minha playlist do mês. Este mês foram lançadas imensas músicas novas e claro que eu adorei. Os The Kills lançaram duas músicas novas, já para não falar do novo álbum do Jack White, pelo o que já ouvi está mesmo genial (adorava conseguir vê-lo no Nos Alive!). Também, finalmente, comprei o mais recente álbum dos Foo Fighters e por isso também tenho andado a ouvir muitas músicas desse álbum. E são estas as músicas que tenho andado a ouvir este mês. The month is coming to an end so today I share with you my monthly playlist. This month a lot of songs were released and of course I couldn't be happier about it. The Kills released two new songs, Jack White got his new album out and from what I've heard of it, it's amazing (I would love to see him live at Nos Alive). And I also finally bought the newest Foo Fighters' album so I've been listening to that album a lot as well. And this are the songs I've been listening this month. Eu até posso andar a usar mais cor e a experimentar peças diferentes, mas nunca me vou sentir tão "eu" como quando estou com um leather jacket vestido e com a minha combinação de cores do costume, preto e branco. São tudo peças super simples (que por acaso fazem parte dos básicos que acho que devem ter no armário que vos falei AQUI), mas sinto que me representam a mim e ao meu estilo na perfeição. Dizem que as nossas roupas dizem muito daquilo que somos, afinal de contas são uma grande parte da primeira impressão que alguém tem nós, por isso mais vale usarmos aquelas roupas que realmente nos definem (mas nunca esquecendo de nos divertimos com a moda também). Vocês também têm peças ou um outfit que vos fazem sentir assim? Contem-me tudo!

I can wear more color and try pieces a bit different, but I will never feel more "me" than when I'm wearing a leather jacket and my usual color combination, black and white. This are all super simple pieces (actually some of them are part of the basics I think you should have in your closet that I talked you about HERE), but I feel that they really represent me and my style perfectly. They say our clothes can say a lot about ourselves, afterall they are a major part when people have a first impression of us, so it's better to wear those clothes that really define us (but never forget to have fun with fashion as well). Aqui está mais um 'week on film'. A Primavera, finalmente, chegou, mas não trouxe o bom tempo com ela, por isso é que esta semana não temos assim tantas fotos. Já sabem que gosto bem mais de fotografar quando está Sol, a vontade é logo outra. No entanto, ontem começou o Portugal Fashion e, pelo menos lá, tenho a certeza que vou criar conteúdo aqui para o blog e este ano vai ser diferente do habitual, mas depois vão perceber porquê. Here is another 'week on film'. Spring finally arrived, but the good weather didn't come with it, that's why we don't have that many photos this week. You already know that I really enjoy shooting when it's Sun, I just feel more like doint it. However, yesterday Portugal Fashion Week started and at least over there I'm sure I'm going to create a lot of content here for the blog and this year is going to be a bit different from the usual, you'll understand why later. A ideia inicial deste outfit era apenas com uma t-shirt e um blazer, no entanto o tempo assim não o permitiu (tem estado demasiado frio) e ainda bem, porque gostei imenso desta combinação. E o que gostei mais foi mesmo a mistura do blazer com o hoodie, duas peças completamente diferentes, mas eu adorei o resultado. Por um lado temos o blazer que facilmente pode ser uma peça mais formal e, do outro lado, o hoodie, uma peça super desportiva. E acho que este look resulta exactamente por causa desta mistura de estilos, é tudo uma questão de encontrar o equilíbrio entre os dois estilos das peças. Mas sinceramente, todos os meus outfits são um bocadinho à volta deste equilíbrio, ou entre o formal e o casual, ou entre o masculino e feminino, you name it. Mas digam-me, o que acham do outfit? Acham que encontrei o equilíbrio perfeito entre as duas peças?

The initial idea for this outfit was only with a t-shirt and a blazer, however the weather didn't allow it (it has been way too cold) and I'm glad it didn't, because I really liked this combo. And what I liked the most was the mix between the blazer and hoodie, two very different pieces, but I loved the result. On one hand we have that blazer that can easily be a formal piece, on the other hand we have the hoodie, a super sporty piece. And I think this look works exactly because of this mix between this styles, it's all about findind the balance between the two styles of the pieces. But honestly all my outfits are always around this balance, or between formal and casual, or between masculine and feminine, you name it. But tell, what do you think about this outfit?
