Basta darem uma vista de olhos na playlist deste mês para perceberem que andei a ouvir bastante Tame Impala. Sempre gostei da banda, mas acho que só agora é que se fez o click e percebi o quão genial é o Kevin Parker. Comprei o Currents, o último álbum que lançaram, mas também tenho andado a ouvir as músicas mais recentes (eu sei que já mencionei a Borderline quando saiu, mas tinha de incluir outra vez, porque é das minhas favoritas) e algumas mais antigas. Mas além de Tame Impala, também andei a ouvir outras coisas que podem encontrar na playlist.

You just have to take a look at this month's playlist to realize that I'm quite obsessed with Tame Impala right now. I always liked the band, but only now I realize how genius Kevin Parker is. I bought their last album, Currents, but I've also been listening to their latest releases (I know I already mentioned Borderline when it came out, but I had to include it again because it really is one of my favourites), and some older songs. Besides Tame Impala, I also listened to other things that you can find in the playlist below.

Há exactamente um ano atrás, trazia-vos um post dedicado à Black Friday com aquilo que eu achava que eram os melhores descontos. Hoje trago-vos um post para pensarem bem antes de fazerem compras amanhã. A verdade é que a Black Friday é um dia dedicado ao consumismo. Todos os dias somos invadidos por publicidade, às vezes até nem nos apercebemos disso, no entanto, neste dia é ainda mais excessivo. A publicidade a descontos "imperdíveis" está por todo o lado e não quero com isto dizer que não os devemos aproveitar se há realmente algo que queremos comprar, eu mesma é provável que acabe por comprar um livro e algumas prendas de Natal, acho apenas é que devemos fazer compras mais pensadas e com mais consciência. Por isso, antes de fazer qualquer compra façam-vos certas perguntas: Preciso mesmo disto? Vou usar mais do que uma ou duas vezes? Tenho peças no meu armário que ficam bem com esta? Sejam mais conscientes com as vossas compras e não comprem peças que realmente não precisam.

One year ago, I was writing a blog post with the best Black Friday discounts. Today the post is a bit different, I want you to really think before buying anything tomorrow. Black Friday is a day dedicated to consumption. The publicity of discounts is everywhere, sometimes we don't even realize it, but on this day is too much. You can easily buy something because the discount is amazing and that I find very wrong. I'm not saying that you shouldn't buy something, I will probably end up buying a few books, and Christmas gifts, I just think that we should be more thoughtful with our purchases. So before buying anything, ask yourself these questions: Do I really need this? Will I wear it more than once? Does it go with all the other things in my wardrobe? Be conscious with your purchases, and don't buy something if you really don't need it.

Há umas semanas atrás, fui a um evento da Kiehl's, uma marca de cosmética que já há muito queria experimentar. Já há algum tempo que a minha pele não anda nos seus melhores dias, a chegada dos dias frios também não ajuda, por isso decidi investir em alguns produtos e criar uma nova rotina de pele para ver se resulta. Estes são os produtos que tenho usado e, apesar de as diferenças ainda não serem super visíveis, eu já sinto a minha pele bem mais suave e saudável. Tenho então usado o Rare Earth Deep Pore para limpar a pele, o sérum Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing e o tão famoso creme Ultra Facial para hidratar a pele. Duas vezes por semana tenho também usado uma máscara da qual estou mega fã, a Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing. Estou a adorar usar estes produtos, mas claro que não vão resultar da mesma forma em todos os diferentes tipos de pele. Esta é uma rotina, essencialmente, para peles normais com tendência a ficarem desidratadas. Já conheciam algum destes produtos?

A few weeks ago, I went to a Kiehl's event, a cosmetic brand that I've been wanting to try for a long time now. My skin has seen better days, so I decided to invest in some products and create a completely new skincare routine to try to make my skin look better. These are the products that I've been using lately. And even though the differences aren't major, I can already feel my skin softer and healthier. So I've been using the Rare Earth Deep Pore to clean my skin, the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing serum and the famous Ultra Facial moisturizer to hydrate my skin. Twice a week I've been also using this face mask that I'm really loving, the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing. I'm really enjoying these products, but, obviously, they don't work the same way with all the different skin types. This is a routine mainly for normal skins with a tendency to dehydrate. Did you know any of these products?

Por esta altura, já devem saber que o Instagram está a testar a remoção dos 'likes' em algumas contas. A minha ainda não foi afectada, mas já muito se disse sobre este novo update do Instagram. A razão por detrás desta alteração, segundo o Instagram, é para evitar a pressão social e criar um ambiente menos tóxico na rede social. Claro que visto desta perspectiva é uma excelente mudança, mas seria naive da nossa parte acreditar que uma empresa que tem como objectivo gerar dinheiro está preocupada com a nossa saúde mental. Vamos continuar a conseguir ver o número de likes que as nossas fotos têm, apenas os nossos seguidores não vêm esse número. Portanto, se nós mesmos conseguimos a ver o número de likes da nossa foto, como é que isso é algum tipo de ajuda? Isto só confirma aquilo que é a minha opinião face a este assunto, a remoção dos likes é apenas mais uma estratégia do Instagram de "obrigar" as marcas a fazerem publicidade através das ferramentas de advertising da app e não através dos criadores de conteúdo. Porque os influencers dependem dos likes para comunicar o seu engagement e a sua relevância e, desta forma, perdem esse poder. Não estou a dizer com isto que concordo ou discordo com esta mudança, claro que não é benéfico para mim, mas, afinal de contas, o Instagram é uma aplicação que todos usamos de forma gratuita e, no fim, vamos acabar por nos habituarmos a mais uma mudança. Mas o que acham vocês desta mudança?

By this time, I'm sure you already know that Instagram has started hiding likes. My account hasn't been affected yet, but a lot has been said about this new update on Instagram. By the minds behind Instagram, they are doing this to remove the social pressure and create a less toxic environment. Of course, if that's the reason it's great, but it will be very naive of us to believe that a company that one of the goals is to make money is concern about our mental health. Users are able to see their likes, but they will no longer be available for everyone to see. So if we are able to see our own likes, how's that helping our mental health really? This only confirms what I think about this change, the removal of the like is just a way to make brands to spend more money on paid advertising through the app, and stop doing it through influencers. Because influencers depend on likes to communicate their engagement and relevance. With this I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with this change, of course, it's not beneficial for me, but, in the end, Instagram is an app we all use for free, and we will get used to it anyway. But what do you think about this change?

Tenho de confessar que não sei muito bem como começar este post ou o que dizer sobre este livro. É um livro bastante interessante e achei-o bem diferente das outras obras da Patti Smith. Como já vos disse várias vezes, a Patti Smith é uma artista que admiro muito, mas é nos seus livros que encontro a minha forma de arte favorita feita por ela. Por isso, sempre que lança um novo livro, faço questão de o ler. 'Year Of The Monkey' é o seu mais recente livro e é uma obra bastante invulgar. Ler este livro foi como estar no sonho de outra pessoa, de facto, por vezes, torna-se difícil distinguir o que é real daquilo que é ilusão, mas é isso mesmo que o torna um livro fantástico. É uma obra que parece mais uma meditação, do que um livro de memórias e as polaroids tiradas pela artista que acompanham os capítulos tornam este livro ainda mais especial. Gostei mesmo muito, no entanto, nada vai superar o 'Just Kids' para mim. Esse será sempre o meu livro favorito.

I have to confess that I don't really know how to start this post, or what to say about this book. It's a very intriguing book, and I found it very different from Patti Smith's previous work. As I already told you several times before, I love Patti Smith's work. She's an artist that I really admire, but it's on her books that I found my favourite form of art by her. So every time she launches a new one, it's a must-read for me. 'Year Of The Monkey' it's her latest book, and it's a very unique read. Reading this was like being part of someone's dream, in fact, sometimes it's hard to know what's real and what's an illusion, but that's what makes it an amazing book. It's more like a meditation than a memoir, and the polaroids shot by her that accompany each chapter just made the book even more special. I really liked it, but I don't think anything can top Just Kids for me. That will always be my favourite book.

Estive a ver e o último Film Diary que partilhei com vocês foi já quase há um mês, mas é o resultado de os dias de Sol estarem a ser escassos nestes últimos tempos. A vontade de fotografar diminui logo com estes dias chuva que têm estado. Mas, de qualquer das formas, aqui estão as minhas últimas fotos analógicas e, mais uma vez, gostei muito de resultado. Espero que gostem também!

I was checking and the last time I shared a Film Diary with you was almost a month ago, but that's what happens when the sun decides not to appear for days and days. The will to shoot decreases right away with these rainy days. But, anyway, here are the last analogue photos that I shot and, once again, I really love how they turned out. I hope you like them as well!

Quem não gosta de um bom conjunto de duas peças? Basta vestir essas peças e estamos prontas, sem preocupação se as cores combinam ou se as silhuetas resultam juntas. Eu adoro. E, ao contrário de vestidos ou jumpsuits, as possibilidades de combinações são imensas. Podemos sempre usar as peças em separado e criar muitos mais outfits com elas. Este conjunto é da Pull&Bear e foi-me oferecido para uma parceria no Instagram, mas gostei tanto e identifica-se tanto com o meu estilo neste momento que tinha de partilhar as fotos aqui também. Mas digam-me, o que acham? E são fãs de co-ords ou nem por isso?

What's there not to like about co-ord sets? You just have to put them on, and you're ready to go, not worrying if the colours match or if the silhouettes go together. I loved them. And, unlike dresses or jumpsuits, the styling possibilities are endless. You can always wear the pieces separately, and there you go, you can create millions of more outfits. This co-ord set is from Pull&Bear and was gifted to me for an Instagram collab, but I like it so much, and it goes so well with my style right now that I had to share the photos here as well. Algumas destas fotografias já tinha partilhado no meu Instagram, mas gostei tanto delas que acho que são merecedoras de um post aqui no blog. Adoro quando vou revelar um rolo e não faço ideia das fotos que lá tenho. Este rolo foi uma agradável surpresa. Comprei em Paris esta máquina descartável a preto e branco e desde essa altura que tinha estas fotos para revelar. São memórias de dias quentes em Paris em que o nosso único plano era explorar a cidade e perdermo-nos nela. Paris será sempre uma cidade com um cantinho especial no meu coração. Espero que gostem das fotos.

I already shared some of these photos on my Instagram, but I like them so much that I had to share them here as well. I love when you develop a film, and you have no idea what photos are you going to get. This film was an amazing surprise. I bought this black and white disposable camera when in Paris, and since then that I had this film to develop. These are memories from warm days in Paris in which our only goal was to explore and get lost in the city. Paris will always have a special place in my heart. I hope you like the photos.
