"Lucky Girl Syndrome is the peak of the internet's delusion era". I read this quote in an ID magazine article about the Lucky Girl Syndrome and felt I had to talk about it. Suppose you're not familiar with the trend. In that case, Lucky Girl Syndrome is the latest TikTok trend with the concept being that if you tell the universe (and yourself) how fortunate and lucky you are, you will end up being very lucky and getting everything you want. It's just a form of manifestation and you already know how I feel about it. You can read this post HERE to understand my point but to sum up, I believe in it. This new trend has been quite controversial because some people say it's just all about toxic positivity. I understand where people are coming from but why call something like positivity toxic? Shouldn't we all be more positive? I mean, the world is full of toxic negative people, why are we calling people that have a more positive mindset toxic? I just don't get it. But I understand that telling people that if you say that you are lucky, some people might think that they don't have to work to achieve their goals, you're just 'lucky'. But let's say you're looking for a new job and already send your resumé to your dream company? You wrote a good cover letter, your resumé looks perfect and you have sent it. You already did the work, so what else could you do? You have to be lucky the person hiring chooses you from all the candidates. The same applies to other million situations. There's always a luck aspect involved. So yeah, I will keep saying "everything works out all for me" and have a positive mindset because believe me or not, it already worked out for me.
