Cada vez que leio mais livros da Taylor Jenkin Reid, mais eu gosto dela. As histórias dela são sempre incríveis e este livro, o One True Loves, não é exceção. O livro conta a história de Emma e a sua viagem com os seus dois grandes amores, Jesse e Sam. O livro é muito mais do que isto, mas também não vos quero dar a história toda. É um livro sobre amor, perda, luto e o significado de soulmate. Para mim, é um triângulo amoroso feito de uma forma excelente. Normalmente, os triângulos amorosos são bastante previsíveis e a escolha é sempre muito óbvia, mas não é o caso deste livro. Enquanto o lemos, estamos mesmo a torcer pelos dois rapazes. Conseguimos perceber como ambos são importantes na vida da Emma e quase que ficamos nervosos por saber que um deles vai ficar de coração partido. Adorei como este romance me tocou de uma forma tão profunda, a Taylor Jenkin Reid realmente tem uma forma muito bonita de contar histórias. E criou um livro que se devora num instante, porque queremos mesmo saber com quem a Emma decide passar o resto da sua vida. No fim, torna-se um pouco previsível, mas nada que estrague a história. Recomendo mesmo muito este livro. E se nunca leram nada desta autora, este é uma excelente escolha para começar. É, provavelmente, o meu livro favorito dela.

Whenever I read a new book by Taylor Jenkin Reid, the more I like her. Her stories are always so fascinating and this book, One True Loves, is no exception. It tells the story of Emma and her journey with her two true loves Jesse and Sam. The book is much more than this, but I don't really want to give the story away. It's a tale about love, loss, grief and the meaning of a soulmate. Let me just say that this is a love triangle done the right way. Usually, when you read about love triangles they have a very obvious choice, but that it's not the case in this book. While you reading it, you are, genuinely, rooting for both guys. You can understand how both characters are so important to Emma and it makes you nervous thinking one of them will be heartbroken. I love how the romance touched me so deeply, Taylor Jenkin Reid really is a beautiful writer. And she totally wrote a page-turner here, you really want to know who Emma decides to spend the rest of her life with. In the end, it gets a bit predictable, but it's totally okay by me, I don't think it ruins the story. I highly recommend this book. And if you never read anything by this author, maybe start with this one, I think it's already one of my favourites by her.

Eu sei que o foco principal dos festivais de Verão é a música, mas uma coisa é certa, também queremos estar bonitos. Pelo menos eu quero. E depois de quase 10 anos a frequentar festivais de música, posso dizer que domino a arte de criar um outfit para um festival de Verão. Tenho algumas regras, algumas dicas também, e, hoje, vou partilhar tudo com vocês. Este outfit que estão a ver foi a minha escolha para o Primavera Sound, por isso algumas regras já as conseguem ver, mas vamos começar.

I know summer festivals are all about music, and I love it, but let's face it: we also want to look cute. I know I do. And after almost 10 years of attending music festivals, I can say that I pretty much nailed the science of creating an outfit for a music festival. I have some rules, also some tips, that I'm going to share everything with you today. This outfit you are seeing right now was my Primavera Sound outfit, so I'm already giving away some rules, but let's start.

Cowboy boots? For a festival? Groundbreaking

Eu percebo, as botas cowboy são muito cool, mas a não ser que queiras estar vestido como todas as pessoas num festival, não as leves. Podes levar qualquer outro tipo de botas, mas, por favor, deixa as cowboy em casa. Não significa que não podes levar botas, aliás, é o meu tipo de calçado favorito para usar num festival. Leva, talvez, umas botas combat ou qualquer outro tipo de modelo. Sapatilhas também são uma boa opção. Qualquer outro tipo de calçado é um grande erro.

I get it, cowboy boots are really cool but unless you want to look like everyone else at a music festival, don't take them. You can take any other kind of boots, but leave the cowboy boots at home. This doesn't mean you can't take boots. Actually, they are my favourite kind of shoes to take to a festival. Just take some combat boots, or anything else. Sneakers are also a great option. Anything else it's pretty much a big mistake.

Skirts Are A Great Option

Ao contrário do que muitas pessoas possam dizer, saias e vestidos são uma excelente opção. Mini saias podem não ser a escolha certa, porque, eventualmente, vais querer sentar-te no chão e não queres mostrar tudo, mas saias midi e maxi são perfeitas. Primeiro, se te quiseres sentar ou dançar livremente, tens tudo protegido. Segundo, são super frescas. E, por último, são super práticas quando precisares de ir à casa-de-banho. Não há nada mais fácil que isto.

Despite what everyone might tell you, skirts and dresses are one of the best options. Mini skirts are not the best, because, eventually you will want to sit on the ground and you don't want to flash everyone (or maybe, you do), but midi and maxi skirts are perfect. First of all, if you want to sit down or just jump around, everything is very well protected. Second, they are super breezy. And last but not least, they are the best when you want to go to the bathroom. It doesn't get easier than this.

Forget the Glitz And Face Gems Makeup

O Coachella é o rei dos festivais (e das tendências dos festivais), por isso, se estiveram atentos, vocês viram: este ano toda a gente optou por coisas mais simples e, no que toca a maquilhagem, também. Por favor parem com a maquilhagem com glitter e as face gems. Foi cute há uns anos, mas já foi feito, vamos avançar. Usar face gems este ano seria o mesmo que ainda estarmos a usar as coroas de flores. Cringe, certo? Eu normalmente faço a minha maquilhagem do dia-a-dia, mas, se mesmo assim quiserem algo com mais destaque, brinquem com sombras ou até mesmo um eyeliner gráfico.

Coachella is the king of festivals (and music-festivals trends) so you saw it: this year, everyone was pretty laidback and quite casual so your makeup should be the same. Please stay away from the glitter and face gems makeup. It's so past season. It has been done so please let's move on. It would be like still wearing flower crowns nowadays. Cringe, right? I usually just do my regular makeup but if you want something a bit more eye-catching maybe play with eyeshadows or do a graphic eyeliner.

Take a Jacket

Não querendo soar como as vossas mãe, por favor, levem um casaco. Eu sei que vão estar no meio da multidão a dançar, mas, nos momentos em que não estão, pode ficar bastante frio. Levem algo leve que seja simples de usar na cintura durante o dia.

In the risk of sounding like your mom, please take a jacket. I know you will be dancing around and be super hot, but at night, while you're walking around, it can get quite cold. Take some lightweight that you can tie around your waist during the day.

Do You

E, por último, sê tu mesmo, mesmo que signifique não fazeres nada do que eu disse em cima. Este é um post leve com um pouco de sarcasmo, por isso não levem a sério o que eu escrevi. Sê tu mesmo, põe um outfit em que te sintas bem e diverte-te, é esta a regra principal.

Last but not least, just do you, even if that means forgetting everything I just said. This is a lightweight and kind of funny post so please don't take it too seriously. Just do you, put on an outfit you feel great in, and have the time of your life - this is the main rule.

Vocês sabem que eu sou a primeira pessoa a promover a moda sustentável. Todo este outfit que me podem ver a usar aqui é em segunda-mão, bem como muitos outros outfits que vou partilhando com vocês. Acho mesmo que podemos fazer melhor no que toca à moda, mas não vos vou mentir, continuo a fazer compras. Em segunda-mão ou em marcas que sei que têm qualidade e que produzem de forma sustentável, mas, mesmo assim, não deixam de ser compras. Se quiser uma certa peça de roupa é neste tipo de lojas que vou procurar. Mas a palavra para ter em atenção aqui é: querer. Quantos artigos ou vídeos já viram em que vos dizem que só devem comprar algo novo quando realmente precisam? Eu já vi bastantes e, claro, que consigo perceber a mensagem, mas quantas roupas novas realmente precisamos? Posso-vos responder rapidamente: nenhuma. Acho que qualquer pessoa que está a ler este post conseguia viver perfeitamente com as roupas que tem neste momento no armário. Aquele casaco ou botas que dizemos que precisamos, será que realmente precisamos? Claro que não. Apenas queremos e não acho que haja nada de errado com isso. Queremos ter opções e, se tal como eu gostam de moda, querem ter a possibilidade de se divertirem com ela e, para isso, têm de ter várias roupas no vosso armário. Não estou de todo a promover o consumismo, mas acho que há cada vez mais vídeos a tentar fazer as pessoas sentirem-se culpadas por comprar roupa e, a meu ver, isso também não é correto. Pelo menos, como uma pessoa que gosta de moda, vou sempre comprar roupa. Vou sempre entrar em lojas de segunda-mão e ver as novidadas. Vou continuar a comprar em marcas que adoro e que passei algum tempo a juntar dinheiro para poder comprar porque é algo que, genuinamente, me traz felicidade. É algo que adoro fazer e faço-o porque quero . Não porque preciso.

You know I'm usually the first to promote sustainable fashion. This whole outfit that you can see me wearing in these photos is second-hand. I really believe that we all can do better when it comes to fashion. But I'm not going to lie. I still shop a lot. Second-hand or vintage, sure. But I still shop. If I want a certain piece of clothing, I will always look for it in a second-hand store or at a brand that I know produces in a sustainable and ethical way. But the word we have to pay attention to here is: want. How many articles or videos have you watched saying that you should really only buy something new when you truly need them? I've seen a lot and I can understand the message behind this but how many new clothes do we really need? I can easily reply to that: none. I'm pretty sure that every single person reading this blog post right now could easily leave the rest of their lives with the clothes they have in their wardrobes right now. Am I right? You could, right? Do you want to? Of course not. We want to have options and I think that's totally okay. And, if like me, you like fashion, you want to be able to have fun with fashion and in order to do that, you actually need clothes in your wardrobe. I'm not trying to promote consumerism but I think we are coming to a point where people are starting to feel guilty about buying clothes and I think that's totally wrong. We should be more ponderate, sure, but not guilty. At least, as someone who truly loves fashion, I know I will be buying clothes and I will never feel guilty about it. I love going to second-hand stores and seeing what's new. I love getting an order from a brand that I love and that I spent some time saving money to buy from. It's something that really brings me joy and I do it because I want to. Not because I need to.

São todas da semana passada, mas gosto imenso de rever o que fiz na minha semana. Até porque é um post que costumo preparar ao fim do dia de Domingo e é super giro vê-las enquanto me preparo para uma nova semana. It has been a while since I last shared the photos I took during the week with you, so here you go. They are all from last week, and I really enjoy looking back at everything I did during my week. This is a post I usually get together at the end of the day on Sunday so it's really nice to look back while I get ready for a new week.
