Quando partilhei que estava a ler 'A Amiga Genial' (podem ler a minha review aqui), muitas de vocês me avisaram que eu iria querer ler o resto da coleção e tinham toda a razão. Hoje venho então partilhar com vocês o que achei do livro 'História do Novo Nome', a segunda parte da tetralogia da série napolitana da Elena Ferrante. Este segundo romance continua a história de Lila e Elena, mas agora como jovens adultas. A Lila está recentemente casada e junta-se ao negócio familiar, enquanto que a Elena continua os seus estudos e expande os seus horizontes, explorando o mundo fora do bairro. Dizer só isto sobre o livro quase que é injusto e não faz de todo jus à história, mas não posso dizer muito mais sem dar spoilers e não quero mesmo arruinar o livro para vocês. Mas se eu gostei do primeiro livro, este eu adorei. Achei este ainda mais fascinante e arrebatador. É daqueles livros que é difícil pousar. E o final...tragam-me o terceiro volume!
When I shared I was reading 'My Brilliant Friend' (you can read my review here), some of you told me I would want to read the rest of the collection, and you were totally right. Today I'm going to share with you what I thought about 'The Story of a New Name', the second part of the tetralogy of the Neapolitan series by Elena Ferrante. This second novel continues the story of Lila and Elena, but now they are young adults. Lila is recently married and joins the family business, while Elena continues her studies and her exploration of the world outside the neighbourhood. Saying just this does not make justice to this story but I can't say much more without giving some spoilers, and I don't really want to ruin it for you. But if I liked the first book, this one I totally loved. I feel like this one it's even more entrancing than the first one. It was really hard to put down. And the ending...bring me the third one!
