Se me seguem nas redes sociais, provavelmente, viram que no fim-de-semana passado estive pelos lados da Serra da Estrela, mais concretamente na Rota das Faias. Gostei mesmo muito, a rota é realmente lindíssima. Podem ver pelas fotografias que estão neste post, mas acreditem que é ainda mais bonito ao vivo. Mas vou deixar aqui todas as informações para saberem tudo.
If you follow me on social media, you probably saw that this last weekend I went to Serra da Estrela at Rota das Faias. I really loved it, the hiking trail is so beautiful. Quando: Se querem encontrar o Outono na sua glória com as folhas das árvores na sua cor típica da estação, então têm mesmo de ir em Novembro, aconselho até nas primeiras semanas do mês. Eu fui na segunda semana e, como podem ver pelas fotografias, as árvores estavam lindíssimas.
When: If you want to find Autumn in its glory with all the colourful leaves, you really have to go in November, I advise in the first couple of weeks. I went in the second week of the month and as you can see, it was gorgeous.
O que é: a rota é um caminho circular com 5,4Km, demora cerca de 3horas a completar. O Bosque das Faias (uma das partes mais bonitas) é logo no início do caminho. Provavelmente, também encontrarão os cães Serra da Estrela pelo caminho, mas são super amigáveis.
What: the trail is circular and it has 5,4Km, it takes around 3 hours to complete it. The Bosque das Faias (one of the most beautiful parts) is right at the beginning of the rail. You will probably also find these dogs (Serra da Estrela's dogs) but they are super friendly.
Dicas extra: a minha dica número um é levar calçado confortável para caminhar, mas que também seja resistente à água. A segunda dica é visitarem também Manteigas, uma vila com muito para explorar.
Extra tips: my tip number one is to take comfortable shoes but that is also waterproof. The second tip is to also take the chance to visit Manteigas, a village with lots to explore.
