Do You Still Remember Clubhouse? And Hi5?

Estar na iminência de ficar sem uma das minhas redes sociais favoritas a.k.a Instagram, fez me recordar todas as redes sociais por onde já os nossos perfis passaram e que prometiam ser the next big thing, mas que rapidamente se tornaram um RIP. A primeira rede social que me lembro é o Hi5. Uma rede social que não estava autorizada a ter, mas que como qualquer pré-adolescente que quer pertencer a algo, obviamente, que, "clandestinamente", tinha o meu perfil. Agora que penso nisso, acho que foi a rede social onde mais me diverti e acho que, em parte, foi aqui que comecei a ganhar o meu gosto por fotografia. Depois veio o Facebook e, apesar de hoje em dia também já não o usar (alguém usa mesmo?), foi também uma rede social bastante importante. O Instagram já encarei de outra forma. Já tinha o blog e, apesar de no início ser algo que fazia sem pretensão nenhuma, sempre o encarei como uma extensão do meu blog, um sítio para partilhar os últimos posts e os meus outfits. Entre estas redes sociais apareceram algumas que quase destituiram estas principais, mas, rapidamente, nos apercebemos que não seria o caso. Uma delas o Clubhouse. Ainda se lembram desta rede social? Não foi assim há tanto tempo que apareceu e ainda me lembro de todo o alarido que teve à sua volta, chegou-se mesmo a dizer que viria substituir o Instagram. Caso para dizer: lol. A última rede social a que me juntei foi o TikTok. Cheguei tarde e pensei que não seria para mim, mas, a verdade, é que tenho gostado muito e me divirto muito a criar conteúdo para lá. Tudo isto para dizer que mesmo que o Instagram e todas essas redes sociais deixem de estar ao nosso alcance no futuro, outras virão. Não é o fim do mundo. E, entretanto, podem sempre encontrar-me neste blog. Não é uma rede social, mas é onde partilho mais de mim. E, por isso, são sempre bem-vindos.
I don't know where you live but here in Europe there's a big chance that we will no longer have one of my favourite social media apps a.ka. Instagram which made me think about all the social media apps where we had our profiles before. Apps that appeared with the promise to be the next big thing but quickly became a RIP. The first social media app I can remember is Hi5. I was really young when Hi5 appeared, so I wasn't really allowed to be there but, obviously, as any teenager who wants to belong somewhere, I had my profile. I think it was where I had the most fun, and I think it was where my love for photography began. Then it came Facebook. I don't really use it anymore (does anyone?), but it was also a very important social media app to me. Instagram was a bit different. I always looked at Instagram as an extension of my blog. It was (and still is) the place to share my newest posts, and also my outfits. Other social media apps appear in the meantime. Apps that looked like they were going to replace these main ones but it really wasn't the case. The first one that comes into my mind is Clubhouse. Do you still remember it? It wasn't such a long ago and there was so much fuzz about it. Some people actually thought it was going to replace Instagram (lol). RIP. The last social media app I joined was TikTok. I came late to the party and, at first, I thought it wasn't really for me, but the truth is that I really like it, and I'm having a lot of fun creating content over there. All of this is to say that even though Instagram and all those other social media apps disappear in the future, others will come. It's not the end of the world. And you can always find me here, in this blog. It's not a social media app, but it's where I share the most about myself. So you are always welcome.
