Um dos meus favoritos do mês tem de ser o trabalho da Ana Alves e, especificamente, estas fotografias que ela me tirou. Não foi a primeira vez que trabalhamos juntas, mas estas foram, sem dúvida, algumas das minhas fotografias favoritas de sempre. Gostei tanto que até estão a ilustrar este post. A Ana é mesmo muito talentosa e uma fotógrafa muito profissional.
One of the month's favourites has to be Ana Alves' work and these photos she took of me in particular. It wasn't the first time we've worked together but these are some of my favourite photos ever. I like them so much that they are the photos that illustrate this post. Ana is so talented and an amazing photographer.
Comecei esta série este mês e estou mesmo mesmo quase a acabar as cinco temporadas. É exatamente o tipo de série que eu gosto: episódios curtos e recheados com comédia. A série foi criada e é protagonizada pela Issa Rae e seguimos a sua vida como uma mulher negra de quase 30 anos em Los Angeles.
I started this series this month and I'm almost finishing the five seasons. It's exactly what I like about a series: short episodes with a lot of comedy. It was created and starred by Issa Rae and we follow her life as a 30-something black woman in Los Angeles.
É um dos podcasts que mais gosto de ouvir e só tenho pena de os episódios serem tão curtos. Chama-se A Mesa É Redonda e é protagonizado por Catarina Palma, Fabiana Cruz, Joana Miranda, Carolina Torres e Catarina Moreira. Em cada episódio cada uma delas traz um tema e têm 5 minutos para o discutir. Está agora de volta com uma terceira temporada.
This one is for my Portuguese readers but this is one of my favourite podcasts ever, it's a bit sad that the episodes are so short. It's called A Mesa é Redonda and it has five hosts. Each one of them brings a topic and they discuss each one of them for five minutes.
Lana del Rey's Coachella concert
Caso não saibam, sou uma grande fã da Lana del Rey. Mal posso esperar por a ver ao vivo aqui no Primvara Sound em Junho e, depois de ver as atuações dela no Coachella, ainda fiquei mais ansiosa. Foi mesmo um concerto lindo. Foi o Lanachella, sem dúvida.
In case you don't know, I'm a huge Lana del Rey fan. I cannot wait to see her live here at Primavera Sound in June, and after watching her performance at Coachella I got even more excited about it. The concert was so beautiful. It was Lanachella, for sure.
Helmut Newton's Exhibition at The MOP Foundation
Infelizmente esta exposição acabou há uns dias, mas tinha mesmo de incluir porque foi, sem dúvida, um dos meus favoritos do mês. Se me seguem pelo Instagram, sabem que estive no fim-de-semana passado na Corunha e esta exposição foi a principal razão pela qual fui lá. Adoro as fotografias do Helmut Newton e tendo-as aqui tão perto tive mesmo de aproveitar.
Unfortunately, this exhibition ended a few days ago but I really have to include it here because it was one of my highlights of April. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that last weekend I went to Corunã and this exhibition was the main reason why I went there. I love Helmut Newton's photography and having them so close I had to see it.
Um novo bar/restaurante aqui no Porto que descobri este mês e que já é dos meus favoritos. A vibe é mesmo incrível e tem um jardim enorme para dias de calor. Durante a semana, servem também um menu de almoço incrível. Além disso, também têm bastantes espetáculos. Super que recomendo visitarem.
A new bar/restaurant here in Porto that I found out about this month but it's already a favourite. The vibe is amazing and it has a huge garden for sunny days. During the week, they also have a lunch menu that is so good. And they also have concerts. Highly recommend visiting it.
