Não imaginam há quanto tempo eu queria discutir este tema com vocês. Desde que me apercebi que isto estava a acontecer que percebi logo que seria um excelente tema para um post. Portanto, há uns anos, as pessoas decidiram que era okay comprar seguidores no Instagram. Mas isso é tão 2018, a nova moda agora é comprar aquele famoso selo azul. E, o melhor, é que é o Instagram que o está a vender. A minha única questão é: qual é o sentido disto? Não és a Beyoncé, por isso, qual é a necessidade de mostrar ao mundo que a tua conta é verificada? Comprar o selo azul é, para mim, o mesmo que comprar seguidores. É quereres mostrar ao mundo que és algo que não és. Não vou dizer que não cliquei no botão quando me apareceu pela primeira vez no meu perfil? Fiquei intrigada, sem dúvida. Será que o Instagram finalmente quer recompensar-me por todo o meu trabalho? Claro que não. O Instagram não me quer dar nada. Pelo contrário, o Instagram quer que eu lhe pague 16€ por mês para ter o tão cobiçado símbolo no meu perfil. Mas parabéns Instagram, é um excelente move. Sabiam que a maioria das influencers que perde as suas contas é por receberem um email, supostamente, do Instagram a dizer para clicar num link manhoso para torar as suas contas verificadas? As pessoas estão tão desejosas de "notoriedade" que estão dispostas a obtê-la a qualquer custo. Tenho a certeza que o Instagram irá ganhar muito dinheiro com isto. E o mais engraçado disto tudo é como se tornou tão fácil perceber quem comprou a sua conta verificada e quem a mereceu, especialmente no grupo de pessoas que seguimos. Uma conta com cerca de 10k seguidores que é verificada? Comprada. Uma conta que se tornou magicamente verificada durante este mês? Comprada. É tão fácil perceber e é tão triste ver o quão cínicas as pessoas se tornaram. Eu sei que tem as suas vantagens ter o blue tick, mas se algum dia o tiver é porque o mereci e, se nunca o tiver, também estou super bem com isso. Afinal de contas, posso fazer tantas coisas com 16€ por mês.
You can't imagine how I've been wanting to discuss this topic with you, probably, since I first realise this is happening right now. So, a few years ago, people decide it was okay to buy followers on Instagram, but that's so 2018. The new thing now is buying the blue tick. And it's actually Instagram that it's selling it. My only question is: what's the point? You are not Beyoncé so why do you feel the need to have a blue tick saying that your account is verified? Buying a blue tick it's just the same as buying followers to me. It's trying to look like something that you're not. I'm not saying that I didn't click the button when it first appear on my profile. I was intrigued, for sure. Does Instagram finally recognised my hard work and wants to pay me off with a verified account? Delusional, I know. Instagram doesn't want to give me anything, of course. Instagram wants me to pay them 16€ per month so I can have that blue badge on my profile. It's a great move from them, not going to lie. Did you know most influencers loose their accounts because they get an email supposedly from Instagram saying that they are giving them the badge and so they click some random link? People are so thirsty for notoriety (at any cost) that I'm sure Instagram is going to gain a lot of money from this. And I was right. People are buying the blue tick. And the funny thing is that you can totally understand who bought it. Especially the people you follow. An account with around 10k followers that is verified? Bought it. An account that magically became verified during this month? Bought it. It's so easy to realise and so sad to see how cinical people have become. I know having the blue badge has some advantages but, if I ever get it, I want to deserve it and if I never get it, I'm totally okay with it as well. After all I can do so much with 16€ every month.
