Finalmente, estou num bom caminho quanto à leitura, sinto que já tenho a minha rotina de volta, e, por isso, tenho bastante livros que quero partilhar com vocês. Um dos últimos que li foi o 'De Amanhã em Amanhã' da Gabrille Zevin. Foi-me emprestado por uma amiga (thanks Marta) e, como ela tinha gostado tanto, tinha as expectativas bem altas. E não desapontou. De Amanhã em Amanhã segue a vida de dois amigos, Sam e Sadie, cujas vidas giram à volta do seu amor por videojogos. Sim, neste livro fala-se imenso sobre videojogos. Por vezes, estamos mesmo dentro do jogo. Mas não deixem que isto vos pare de ler este livro. Eu não jogo videojogos. Tirando Sims, não sei nada sobre o assunto. Não os conheço e nunca foi algo que me interessasse, no entanto, a autora sabe como escrever sobre o assunto sem se tornar aborrecido. Mas a história também é muito mais que apenas videojogos. É um livro sobre amizade e os seus altos e baixos. Sobre amor, paixão e como todos estes sentimentos, por vezes, deixam de existir. É sobre sucesso e falhanços. Gostei mesmo muito. É um livro longo, mas é daqueles livros que se devoram e já sentia saudades de ler algo assim. Em livros mais longos, consegues mesmo envolver-te com as personagens e conhece-las. Passam a ser teus conhecidos, quer gostes ou não delas (e, neste livro, por vezes não gostamos delas). Sentia saudades disso. Super que recomendo o livro e quero muito ler outras obras desta escritora.
Finally, I'm on a good track when it comes to reading and I feel like my reading routine is back, so I have a lot of books I want to share with you. One of the latest I read was 'Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow' by Gabrille Zevin. The book was lent to me by a friend (thanks Marta) and since she enjoyed it so much, my expectations were very high. And it didn't disappoint. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow follows the lives of two friends, Sam and Sadie, whose lives are intertwined around their love of gaming. So yeah, this book is a lot about video games. Sometimes we are even in the game. But don't let this put you off. I don't play video games. Apart from Sims, I don't know nothing about them. I don't know any video games, and I was never into it, but the writer really knows how to write about them without being boring. But despite the story being around video games, it's also much more than that. It's about friendship and its ups and downs. About falling in love, and falling out. It's about sucess and failure. I really loved it. It's very long but it really is a page turner, and I really missed reading something like this. In long books you can really get to know the characters. You follow them for a long time and get invested in them, either you liked them or hated them (you will hated them for a while in this book). I really missed that. Highly recommend it, and can't wait to read more from this author.
