Prometido é devido, por isso aqui está o meu Edimburgo Travel Guide com tudo aquilo que eu acho que devem visitar e fazer na cidade, os meus sítios favoritos para comer e, claro, onde ficar. As promised, here is my Edinburgh Travel Guide with everything I think you should really visit and do in the city, my favourite places to eat and, of course, where to stay. I really loved the city, I fell in love with it. On Instagram you can already find the highlight of all the places I've been to, but here's my Travel Guide. I hope you find it useful.
What to Do
- Visit the museums: Edimburgo tem imensos museus, eu recomendo o National Scotland Museum, o Modern One e o Modern Two, todos com entrada grátis / Edinburgh has lots of museums, I recommend the National Scotland Museum, Modern One and Modern Two, all with free entry
- Watch the sunset at Calton Hill: um parque com vistas incríveis da cidade onde podem ver o pôr-do-sol / a park with amazing views over the city where you can watch the sunset
- Go to the Holyrood Park: um parque real mas aberto ao público com montanhas, lagos e colinas / a royal park open to the public with lots of mountains, lochs and cliffs
- Stroll down Victoria Street: uma rua obrigatória se forem fãs do Harry Potter, aqui entrem na loja Museum Context, uma loja fantástica com tudo do Harry Potter / if you're a Potter Head then this street is mandatory, here go to the Museum Context store, an amazing Harry Potter's store
- The Meadows: um parque não tão perto do centro da cidaade, mas foi dos meus favoritos, adorei a vibe / it's not as central as all the other parks/gardens but it was one of my favourites, I loved the vibe over there
- Go to the book stores: Edimburgo tem imensas lojas de livros, as minhas favoritas foram Armchair Books, The Typewriter e Topping & Company Booksellers / Edinburgh has lots of amazing book stores, my favourites were Armchair Books, The Typewriter and Topping & Company Booksellers
- Pat Greyfriars Bobby: se forem amantes de cães têm de passar na estátua do Bobby, um cão que ficou na campa do dono após a sua morte durante 14 anos / if you're a dog person you have to go to Bobby's statue, a dog who stayed next to his owner's grave for 14 years
- Take a day trip to the Highlands: se tiverem tempo, super que recomendo fazerem uma viajem às Highlands, foi uma dia cansativo mas dos meus preferidos, eu marquei a minha viagem AQUI / if you have the time I highly recommend taking a day trip to the Highlands, it was tiring but it was honestly one of my favourite days, I booked my trip HERE
Where to Eat
- Noon: para um brunch ou um almoço mais leve com várias opções vegetarianas / for a brunch or a light meal with lots of vegetarian options
- The Walnut: um pouco mais caro mas com comida deliciosa perfeita para um jantar / a bit on the pricier side but with delicious food perfect for a dinner
- Howies: para experimentar comida escoceca / to try out some Scotish food
- The Alchemist: para beber uns cocktails ao fim do dia / to have some cocktails at the end of the day
- The Milkman: para tomar o pequeno-almoço ou simplesmente para beber um café / to have some breakfast or just to grab a coffee
- Greater Grassmarket Market: se estiverem na cidade ao Sábado, passem por este mercado para uma refeição rápida / if you happened to be on the city on a Saturday go to this market for a quick meal
- Civerinos: a melhor pizza na cidade / the best pizza in town
- Bakery Andante: imensos bolos e pão, perfeito para tomar o pequeno-almoço / lots of pastries and bread, perfect to have breakfast
- Red Squirrel: para um copo ao fim do dia / to have a drink at the end of the day
- Oink: sandes de porco se quiserem experimentar / pig sandwishes if you want to try them out
Where to Stay
Como já disse no Instagram, durante os meus dias em Edinburgo fiquei no Courtyard by Marriott. Tive uma parceria com eles, mas super que recomendo o hotel. A localização não podia ser melhor. Numa rua cheia de restaurantes e perto de tudo o que queiram visitar. Literalmente, andámos a pé para todo o lado. O quarto era super confortável, o pequeno-almoço delicioso e todo o staff super simpático. Foi mesmo a estadia perfeita.
As I already told you on Instagram, during my days in Edinburgh I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott. I had a partnership with them, but I highly recommend this hotel. The location couldn't be any better. On a street with lots of restaurants and close to everything you might want to visit. We literally walked everywhere. The room was super comfortable, the breakfast really delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It really was the perfect home away from home.
