Deixem-me explicar. A Carrie Soto é uma mulher forte e poderosa e, a sua determinação para vencer a todo o custo, não a torna muito popular aos olhos do público. Isto é algo que acontece constantemente no mundo real, não só nos livros, infelizmente. Um homem forte e poderoso? Tudo certo. Uma mulher confiante e feroz? É uma cabra. Literalmente, isto acontece no livro. Mas de volta à história. Nos seus 37 anos, depois de seis anos longe do ténis e quando os seus recordes estão prestes a ser-lhe retirados, a Carrie Soto decidi ser treinada pelo seu pai e voltar para mais um ano na tentativa de recuperar o seu record. If I was a fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid, now I'm even more of a fan after reading this book. The book I'm talking about is 'Carrie Soto is Back' and yeah, it's as good as everyone says. The book focuses on Carrie Soto, one of the best tennis players in the world, which has everything for us to hate her but, as the writer always does so well, she's a character who finds a smart and unique way to charm us. Let me explain. Carrie Soto is a fierce, powerful woman, and her determination to win at all costs has not made her very popular in the public eye. This is something that happens all the time in the real world, not just in books, unfortunately. A fierce, powerful man? Totally okay! A strong, determined woman? She's called a bitch. Literally, this happens in the book. But let's get back to the story. At 37, after six years of retirement and right when her records are about to be taken away from her, Carrie Soto decides to be coached by her father for one last year in an attempt to reclaim her record. I'm not even a tennis fan, but each chapter of this book makes you feel like you're in those big tennis matches which is very exciting. You just can't put it down. Each time you are reading it, you want to know how Carrie is doing in each match and you are genuinely rooting for her. If you read something by Taylor Jenkins Reids before, you will find characters from other books here which I thought was an amazing little detail. Taylor Jenkins Reid is back! And better than ever.
