Se me seguem há algum tempo, com certeza que sabem que adoro ler livros de memórias e biografias, e sabem também que sou uma grande fã dos Foo Fighters e, obviamente, do Dave Grohl (o vocalista da banda se não estão familiarizados). Portanto, podem compreender a minha excitação quando descobri que o Dave Grohl iria lançar um livro de memórias e, assim que o vi numa livraria, trouxe imediatamente comigo. O livro chama-se 'The Storyteller' e conta toda a sua história, desde a infância até aos dias de hoje. Adorei o livro, ele sabe mesmo como usar as palavras (afinal de contas, ele escreve letras de músicas). O seu amor por música sente-se durante todo o livro. A única coisa que tenho a apontar é que não foi surpreendente para mim. Sou mesmo uma grande fã e sou daquelas pessoas que quando gosto de alguém ou de alguma coisa, lê tudo sobre os mesmos, vê todas as entrevistas e sabe tudo sobre os mesmos (prometo que é de uma forma saudável), portanto algumas destas histórias já as tinha ouvido. Mas, sem dúvida, que a culpa não é dele. Se não forem fãs, acho que vão gostar na mesma do livro, entretém bastante. Se forem fãs, vão ficar a gostar ainda mais do Dave Grohl.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I love to read memoirs and biographies, and you also know that I'm a huge fan of Foo Fighters and, obviously, Dave Grohl (the lead singer of the band if you're not familiar with). So you can understand my excitement when I found out that he was writing a memoir and, as soon as I saw it at a bookshop, I had to bring it with me immediately. The book is called 'The Storyteller' and it tells his story, from his childhood to today. I truly loved it, he really has his way with words (he's a songwriter, after all). His love for music really shines through. The only thing I have to say is that it wasn't surprising enough to me. I really am a huge fan, and I'm that kind of person that when likes something or somebody, I read everything about them, I watch all the interviews, and I know everything about them (I swear it's in a non-stalker way), so some of the stories he tells, I already knew. But it's definitely not his fault. Even if you're not a fan, I'm sure you will love this book, it's very entertaining. If you are, you're going to love Dave Grohl even more.
