"As tendências vão e vêm, o estilo é eterno." Tenho a certeza que já ouviram esta frase em algum lado e, apesar de concordar em parte, não acho que seja completamente verdade. Claro que há certas peças que serão sempre clássicos, mas acho que algumas tendências chegam para ficar, pelo menos posso falar por mim. Certas coisas que foram uma grande tendência há uns anos atrás, eu ainda uso hoje em dia, aqui estão algumas delas.
"Trends come and go, style is eternal." I'm sure you already read this quote somewhere, but I don't totally agree with it. Sure, certain pieces of clothing are classics that will never go out of style, but I also think that some trends actually come to stay, at least I can speak for myself. There are a lot of things that were very trendy in the past that I still wear nowadays, here are a few of them.
Bucket Hats
No ano passado, os bucket hats foram uma tendência enorme. Eu até cheguei a comentar com vocês que no início não gostava nada, mas agora adoro-os. Tenho uns quantos e não me consigo fartar. São perfeitos para dias de chuva (se, como eu, não gostam de andar de um lado para o outro com um guarda-chuva atrás), e, agora, também tenho adorado levá-los para a praia.
Bucket hats were a big trend last year. In the beginning, I really didn't like them, but now I love them. I have quite a few, and I just can't get enough. They're perfect to wear on a rainy day (if, like me, you don't like walking around carrying an umbrella), and I also love taking them to the beach now during Summer.
Shoulder Bags
Se antes era uma rapariga de malas à tiracolo, desde que as shoulder bags se tornam tendência, agora não uso outra coisa. Acho que até vendi/doei a maior parte das minhas malas a tiracolo e tote bags e, agora, tenho apenas umas quantas shoulder bags que adoro e que uso sempre. Gosto mesmo da forma como completam um outfit.
I used to be a crossbody bag kind of girl, but since the shoulder bags became a trend, I just can't wear anything else. Actually, I sold pretty much all my crossbody/tote bags, and now I only own a couple of shoulder bags that I truly love and wear all the time. I really like how they look in an outfit.
Vans Old Skool
Tenho a certeza que se conseguem lembram de, há uns anos, as Vans Old Skool terem reaparecido e toda a gente ter pelo menos um par. Bem, também eu na altura me rendi a essa tendência, mas, hoje em dia, continuam a ser das minhas sapatilhas favoritas. Uso-as imensas vezes, basta darem uma vista de olhos nos meus outfits, e foi mesmo uma compra muito boa.
I'm sure you can remember a couple of years ago when everyone had a pair of Vans Old Skool, and everyone had at least a pair in their wardrobes. Well, I also bought them at the time, but they're still a favourite of mine nowadays. They're my favourite sneakers, and, as you can tell, I wear them all the time.
