Com o Verão a aproximar-se, chega também uma altura que eu adoro que é a época dos festivais de Verão. Já não é novidade nenhuma que adoro música (é já mesmo uma das categorias aqui no blog) e, apesar de gostar de ver os artistas em nome próprio, os festivais de Verão são uma óptima forma de ouvirmos as nossas bandas favoritas e talvez até conhecer algumas novas. Este ano os nossos festivais estão com cartazes fantásticos e, por isso, hoje partilho com vocês os artistas que eu adorava ver. Partilhem comigo se têm algum em comum, se vão a algum festival e o que gostavam de ver!
With Summer approaching, it comes a time that I really like, the time of the music festivals. It isn't something new that I love music (it already is one of the categories of the blog) and although I like to see the artist on their own shows, music festivals are a great way to see our favourite bands and maybe also find new ones. This year the festivals here in Portugal have really great lineups, so today I share with you the artists I would like to see. Share with me if you any in common, if you're attending any music festival and who would you like to see!
FATHER JOHN MISTY
Palavras para quê, right? Basta ver alguns vídeos no youtube para perceber que as actuações do Father John Misty são de nos deixar de boca aberta. A voz, os lyrics, a performance, tudo me deixa super entusiasmada para o ver no Primavera Sound aqui no Porto.
Words for what, right? You just have to watch a couple of videos on youtube to realize that Father John Misty perfomances are to leave you with your mouth wide open. His voice, the lyrics, the perfomance, everything gets me super excited to see him at Primavera Sound here in Porto.
LORDE
No mesmo festival (e até no mesmo dia), mas num registo um pouco diferente, temos a Lorde. Desde que lançou o seu primeiro álbum que fiquei fã e, por isso, adorava vê-la ao vivo. Também as suas actuações são fantásticas (quem não adora os seus dance moves?), então vou tentar não perder esta oportunidade.
On the same festival (and even on the same day), but a bit different we have Lorde. Since the launch of her first album I became a fan so I would love to see her live. Also her perfomances are amazing (who doesn't love her dance moves?) so I will try not to miss this opportunity.
HAIM
Fizeram parte do cartaz do Coachella, mas não se esqueceram de passar por Portugal este Verão, estou a falar das Haim. Confesso que o cartaz do Rock in Rio nunca chamou muito por mim, mas esta ano não me importava nada de ir ver as Haim, a banda das três irmãs com músicas fantásticas que adorava ouvir ao vivo.
They were part of the Coachella lineup, but they didn't forget to come to Portugal this Summer, I'm talking about Haim. I confess that the Rock in Rio's lineup never was really my thing, but this year I really wouldn't mind to go and see Haim, the band of the three sisters with amazing songs that I would love to hear live.
JACK WHITE
Sou super fã do Jack White e adorava vê-lo ao vivo no último dia do Nos Alive, mas, infelizmente, os bilhetes já estão esgotados. Os seus álbuns a solo estão fantásticos, mas, pelo que já andei a ver, também toca algumas músicas das suas outras bandas -crying a little bit - das quais também sou fã (não só The White Stripes, mas também The Raconteurs e The Dead Weather).
I'm super fan of Jack White and would love to see him live on the last day of Nos Alive, but unfortunately the tickets are already sold out. His solo albuns are amazing, but from what I already saw he also plays songs from his other bands -crying a little bit- that I'm also a fan of (not only The White Stripes, but also The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather).
KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD
Estão de volta ao Paredes de Coura (festival onde já os vi há dois anos) e, apesar de na altura não ser fã, já me conquistaram . Foi daquelas bandas que comecei a ouvir porque os vi no festival e desta vez tenho a certeza que ia vibrar muito mais com o concerto.
They're coming back to Paredes de Coura (festival where I saw them two years ago) and although I wasn't a fan at the time, they already won my heart. It was one of those bands that I start listening to because I saw them at the festival and now I'm sure I would really love their concert.
