Com a chegada de uma estação nova e a transição para o tempo mais quente, é também altura de tirarmos as peças mais quentes do nosso armário e substituirmos pelas peças mais frescas para a Primavera. Com esta mudança no closet, é também a altura perfeita para lhe fazermos uma limpeza e ficarmos só com as peças que realmente usamos. Eu fiz isso esta semana e, por isso, tenho para vocês três passos que podem seguir que vão tornar o vosso trabalho muito mais fácil.
With the arrival of a new season and the transition to a warmer weather, it's also time to take the warm clothes out of our closet and get the fresh and lightweight pieces for Spring. With this change on your closet, it's also the perfect time to do some cleaning and only keep the clothes that you really wear. I did this this week and so I have for you three steps that you can follow that will make your life way easier.
FOLLOW THE "ONE YEAR" RULE
Todos nós temos aquelas peças de roupa no nosso armário que não usamos há anos, mas, por alguma razão, achamos que a nossa opinião sobre elas poderá vir a mudar e por isso ficam ali, eternamente paradas. A verdade é, se não a usaste no último ano, a probabilidade de a vires a voltar a usar é mínima, são essas peças que tens de, definitivamente, tirar do teu closet.
We all have those pieces of clothing on our closet that we don't wear in ages, but for some reason we think our opinion about them might change and so they stay there forever. The truth is if you didn't wear it on the last year, the probability of wearing it again is minimun, those are the clothes that you definitely have to take out of your closet.
ORGANIZATION IS THE KEY
Com toda esta limpeza, podes aproveitar também para organizar a tua roupa. Eu gosto sempre de ter a minha roupa separada por peças, num lado as calças, noutro os vestido e por aí fora. Dentro dessas "secções" chego mesmo a organizar por cor. Assim sei sempre onde posso encontrar a peça que quero e torna a minha vida na hora de decidir o que quero vestir muito mais fácil.
With all the cleaning, you can take the chance to also organize your clothes. I always like to have my clothes separated by pieces, on one side I have the jeans, on another the dresses and so on. On those "sections" I also separated them by color. This way I always know where I can find the piece I want to wear and makes my life a thousand times easier.
SEPARATE THE UNWANTED CLOTHES
Arranja três caixas e separa todas aquelas roupas que não queres mais, uma caixa para deitar fora, outra para doar e outra para vender. A roupa que já está estragada e sem recuperação possível vai para a caixa para deitar fora. Todas as outras divides pela caixa para doar e vender. Aproveito para vos dizer que no dia 19 de Maio vou estar no Flea Market a vender alguma da minha roupa, algumas peças são mesmo novas, por isso passem por lá se estiverem pelo Porto.
Get three boxes and separate the unwanted clothes on them, one box to toss, another one to donate and other to sell. If the clothes are completely ruined and not wearable at all, they go to the toss box. All the others go to the donate and sell box. On the 19th of May I'm going to be at Flea Market selling some of my clothes, some are actually new, so if you're around Porto come take a look.
