Começa amanhã mais uma edição do Portugal Fashion aqui no Porto e isso fez-me pensar a forma como tenho encarado este evento e como essa mesma forma tem mudado tanto ao longo dos anos. Quando comecei o blog, o que eu mais queria era ir a todos os desfiles possíveis, mesmo que isso significasse ver o trabalho de um designer que podia não admirar assim tanto. Claro que é fantástico absorver toda essa inspiração, mas certos designers simplesmente não são o nosso estilo e não nos vão acrescentar nada. Para verem o quanto eu adorava isso, cheguei mesmo a fazer a Lisboa Fashion Week e depois ainda o Portugal Fashion por cá. Mas depois cheguei a uma altura que simplesmente me cansei e cheguei mesmo a passar algumas edições do Portugal Fashion à frente e foi o melhor que fiz. Porque se deixar de ser divertido, não vale a pena, podes sempre acompanhar o trabalho dos designers em casa (alguns dos desfiles até podes mesmo ver ao vivo), mas também me ajudou de certa forma a voltar a descobrir a verdadeira essência do evento e porque é que eu gostava tanto de ir quando comecei. Posso-vos dizer que estou super entusiasmada com esta edição, vou apenas aos desfiles que realmente gosto e partilhar com vocês também (não se esqueçam de me seguir no instagram para acompanhar tudo) e, acima de tudo, vou-me divertir e chegar ao fim com uma nova dose de inspiração.
It starts tomorrow another edition of Portugal Fashion Week and that made be think about the way I've been facing this event and how that way has been changing along the years. When I started the blog what I wanted the most was to go to as many shows as possible, even if that meant seeing the work of a designer that I might not admire as much. Of course it's amazing to absorb all that inspiration, but some designers are just not our style and will not add anything. Just for you to see how much I used to love this, a year I did Lisbon Fashion Week and then also Portugal Fashion here. But then I came to a time where I just got tired of it and I actually skipped some editions of Portugal Fashion and it was the best thing I did. Because if it's not fun anymore, it's not worth it, you can keep up with the designers' work at home (some shows you can actually see live), but it also helped me find again the true essence of this event and why I used to love it so much. I can tell you that I'm super excited with this edition, I'm only going to the shows that I really love and feel right for me and share everything with you (don't forget to follow me on instagram to keep up with everything) and the most important, I'm going to have fun and at the end feel even more inspired.
