Deixem-me começar este post como eu tanto gosto: com uma pergunta. Não poderiam ser os posts dos canais de transmissão no Instagram ser Stories? Como já vos disse, eu própria criei um, mas deixem-me explicar. Há uns tempos, tive a idea de partilhar com vocês tudo aquilo que achava interessante e que estava a acontecer no Porto. Cheguei mesmo a pensar fazê-lo uma vez por semana nas Stories, mas, porque alguma razão, não achei que fizesse sentido na altura e esse projeto acabou por ficar de lado. Mas saltamos para o Instagram lançar estes canais de transmissão e eu encontrar o sítio perfeito para pôr esse mesmo projeto em prática. Mas, o meu ponto aqui é: os influencers/criadores de conteúdo estão a usar esta nova plataforma para mostrar a sua vida pessoal. Eu estou-me a divertir imenso com o meu canal, mas, infelizmente, ainda não subscrevi nenhum. Nada realmente me chama a atenção. Sinceramente, parece-me só mais do mesmo. Os influencers estão a fazer exatamente o mesmo que faziam nas Stories e, para mim, até soa tudo um pouco falso. Vamos retroceder até 2016, quando o Instagram lançou as Stories, e os influecers aproveitaram esta platforma para mostrar o seu "eu real". Se no feed era tudo perfeito e lindíssimo, nas Stories tinhamos o conteúdo mais "real" e não filtrado. Agora, em 2023, o Instagram lança estes canais e, agora sim, os influecers estão a mostrar a sua vida real. Então onde ficamos? Não foi isso mesmo que disseram que estavam a fazer nas Stories? Então era tudo fake? Como posso ter a certeza que não é fake agora também? Ok, o meu rant acabou, mas conseguem perceber o meu ponto? Não estou a dizer que sou melhor do que ningúem, só gostava de ver algo diferente e que realmente me cativasse. Nem os reality shows que têm a palavra "reality" no seu nome mostram a realidade, por isso, por favor, não digam que estes canais são os vossos diários. Estão apenas a mostrar um lado das vossas vidas. Claro, o conteúdo pode ser menos editado, mas continua a ser uma versão altamente filtrada da vida real. Por isso, digam-me se conhecem algum canal que eu devesse seguir com conteúdo diferente e inspirador.
Let me start this post like I like the most: with a question. Couldn't the posts on Instagram Broadcast Channels be Stories? Well, as you might be aware, I created one myself but let me unpack this. So, a while ago, I had this idea of sharing with you all my favourite things happening in Porto. I thought about doing it maybe once a week on my Instagram Stories, but for some reason, it didn't feel right so I didn't go through with it. Jumping to Instagram realasing these Broadcast Channels and finding the perfect place to do it. The thing is: influencers are using them to share their life. I'm having tons of fun with my own channel but, unfortunately, I'm not subscribed to any other channel. Nothing speaks to me. It's just repetitive. They're not doing anything new. Influencers are doing exactly what they were doing in stories, but this time, it sounds a bit fake. Back in 2016, when Instagram released Stories, influencers were the first ones to jump on board saying that this would be the platform where they would show their real life. The behind the scenes and their true personality. Now, in 2023, Instagram releases a new thing and now it's completely different, now they are really showing the real deal. Their raw version. So, where do we stand? That's exactly what you claimed before. Were you lying before when you were using Stories? How can I know you're not lying now? Okay, sorry, rant over. But can you understand my point? I'm not saying that I'm better than anyone, I'm just saying that that doesn't speak to me. Not even reality shows that have the word "reality" in them share reality so don't say your channel is going to be your diary because it's just a filter version of it. Yeah, sure, the photos or videos you post might not be as beautiful or edited as the ones you share on your feed, but they're still a curated version of your REAL life.
