Este é aquele tipo de livro que está por todo lado nas redes sociais e agora percebo porquê. Já há algum tempo que queria ler o 'Isto Acaba Aqui' da Colleen Hoover e finalmente li. É tão bom quanto toda a gente diz que é. Foi o primeiro livro que li da Colleen Hoover e estou viciada. Toda a gente diz que devemos ler os livros dela com o menor nível de informação possível sobre os mesmos e consigo perceber perfeitamente porquê. Foi isso mesmo que fiz, nem sequer li a sinopse, e, se o tivesse feito, acho mesmo que teria uma experiência de leitura completamente diferente. Por isso, sobre a história em si, não vou dizer muito. Vou apenas dizer que o livro conta a história de Lily, uma rapariga nos seus 20 anos que, após um passado turbulento, se muda para Boston. Lá um romance acontece, mas, o que começa como o típico romance, rapidamente muda. A história está escrita na primeira pessoa do singular o que só a torna ainda mais poderosa. Vais sentir todas as emoções da Lily juntamente com ela. Vais sentir o amor, o ódio, o medo e a raiva. Vais até mesmo conseguir compreendê-la, algo que muitos escritores tentaram fazer e falharam, mas a Colleen acertou em cheio. É uma montanha-russa de emoções desde a primeira página até à última e, simplesmente, impossível de parar de ler. Super que recomendo, mas se estiverem a pensar em lê-lo, recomendo verem os trigger warnings do mesmo porque o livro torna-se bastante intenso. Mas eu adorei. Podem esperar mais reviews de livros da Colleen Hoover no futuro.
This is the kind of book that it's all over social media and for good reasons. For a while that I've been wanting to read 'It Ends with Us' by Colleen Hoover and I finally did. It's just as good as everyone says it is. It was the first book I've read by the writer and I'm hooked. Everyone says you should go into her books knowing as little as possible, and I totally understand why. I haven't read the blurb before starting this book and I think if I did my reading experience would be completely different. So I'm not going to say much about the story itself. Let's just say that this book tells the story of Lily, a young girl in her twenties that after a rough past moves to Boston. There a romance happens, but what starts as a usual romance will change very quickly. It's written in a singular first-person narrative which makes it even more powerful. You will feel all of Lily's emotions with her. You will feel the love, the hate, the fear, and the rage. You will actually understand her, something so many writers have tried and failed to do but Colleen completely nailed it. It's an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, and just impossible to put down. I highly recommend it, but if you're planning to read it I suggest you look out for the trigger warnings because it's very intense. I truly love it and let's just say that more Colleen Hoover book reviews are on their way.
