Não sei se me seguem no Instagram (mas deviam), mas há uns meses decidi mudar o meu nome na rede social. Já andava a pensar nisso há algum tempo e, finalmente, decidi fazê-lo. Tal como este blog que o meu nome no Instagram sempre foi 'fashionmask'. Quando criei o blog, fazia sentido. Não sei se me seguem desde o início ou se só agora começaram a acompanhar o meu trabalho, mas no começo não mostrava a minha cara nas fotografias e, por essa razão, escolhi esse nome. Quando criei o Instagram, usei o mesmo nome e sempre fez sentido para mim. No entanto, comecei a sentir que já não me representava a 100%. Vou continuar a usá-lo aqui blog, mas agora que também tenho a conta da Contracapa no Instagram, a minha conta pessoal quero que seja um sítio onde possa reunir todos esses meus interesses. Também sinto que a palavra 'mask' está agora com uma carga muito negativa e pesada, por isso fez todo o sentido para mim mudar. E foi isso mesmo que fiz. Podem-me agora encontrar como @helenamartins___, simples e direto ao assunto. É o meu nome, sou eu e é isso mesmo que lá vão encontrar.
So, I don't know if you follow me on Instagram (you should tho) but a few months ago I decided to change my Instagram handle. I was thinking about it for a while, and I finally decided to do it. Just like this blog, since the beginning that my handle has been 'fashionmask'. When I first created the blog, it made sense. I don't know if you're an OG or if you just recently started following me, but in the beginning, I didn't show my face on photos, and that's why I chose that name. When I started Instagram, I used it as well and since then that it felt right. But I was starting to feel that the name didn't represent me anymore. I will keep using it here on the blog, but I now also own the Contracapa account on Instagram, and I want my personal account to be the place where you can find all of those things I like. Also, the word mask has such a negative vibe right now and it's such a heavy word that I really felt I needed to change it. And so I did. You can now find me as @helenamartins___, simple and straight to the point. It's my name, it's me, and that's exactly what you're going to find over there.
