"How To Survive the Instagram Algorithm" ou "How To Beat Instagram Algorithm" são alguns dos posts que podem encontrar pela dita cuja rede social nestes últimos dias. Títulos um pouco dramáticos na minha modesta opinião, mas é esta a sociedade em que vivemos. Seria hipócrita se dissesse que este novo algoritmo não me afeta. Tendo uma conta pequena no Instagram, afeta-me bastante. Crescer na rede social é mais difícil, chegar a pessoas novas idem e são as contas mais pequenas que mais sofrem. Mas longe de mim pedir-vos para comentarem ou salvarem as minhas fotos. Claro que adorava que o fizessem, mas quero que o façam de forma orgânica. Se gostam da foto, deixem um gosto. Se têm algo para me dizer, comentem-na. Se gostaram e querem salvar como inspiração ou até partilhar, força. Mas, por favor, não o façam por obrigação. Portanto, que estou eu a fazer para "sobreviver" ao novo algoritmo? Rigorosamente nada! Irei continuar a publicar o conteúdo que eu gosto e que me dá prazer criar. Se as pessoas gostarem e quiserem seguir, fico mesmo muito contente. Se, pelo contrário, não gostarem, tenho a certeza que irão encontrar uma outra conta que vá de encontro com aquilo que procuram. Vamos todos relaxar um pouco, eu sei que é o trabalho de muitas pessoas, mas, no fundo, é apenas uma rede social.

A bit dramatic in my opinion, but that's our society nowadays ladies and gentleman. I would be a very hypocrite if I told you that this new algorithm doesn't affect me. Being the owner of a small account affects me a lot. Growing on Instagram is really hard, and getting to new people is almost impossible. Smaller accounts are the ones that suffer the most. But I promise you I will NEVER ask you to comment or save my photos. Obviously, I would love it if you did that, but I want you to do it in an organic way. If you like the photo, like it. If you have something to tell me, comment on it. If you really love it and want to save it for inspiration or share it with someone, go for it. But please, never do it out of obligation. So, what am I doing to beat Instagram new algorithm? Well, nothing! I will keep posting the content that I like and that I enjoy creating. If people like it and want to follow me, I would be really happy about it. If they don't, then I'm sure they'll find an account that would be everything they're looking for. So, let's all just relax a bit. I know Instagram is a job for a lot of people, but, deep down, it's just a social media app.
