Como prometido, hoje venho falar-vos um pouco sobre a nova câmara analógica que tenho usado, uma Miranda MS-1 Super com uma lente 50mm 1.2. Como já vos disse é completamente manual (desde as definições à focagem) e a verdade é que já a tenho há bastantes anos, no entanto, fotografar no dia-a-dia com uma câmara point&shoot é bem mais prático (podem ler mais sobre a câmara point&shoot que eu uso AQUI), mas a qualidade também é bastante diferente, por isso é que me rendi a fotografar em manual.
As promised, today I will talk about my new analogue camera, the Miranda MS-1 Super with a 50mm 1.2 lens. As I already told you, it's fully manual (from the settings to the focus), and the truth is that I already have it for a couple of years, however, shooting daily with a point&shoot is way easier (you can read more about my point&shoot camera HERE), but the quality is also very different, that's why I'm so in love with this manual camera.
Como vos disse, já a tenho há bastantes anos. São câmaras que já não são fabricadas, a marca já nem existe, por isso é uma questão de procurarem em diversas lojas de fotografia. A minha comprei numa loja aqui no Porto, no Sítio do Cano Amarelo. Eles têm sempre imensas câmaras, é uma questão de procurar, mas também no eBay a conseguem encontrar.
As I already told you, I have it for a very long time. These are cameras that are not fabricated anymore, and this brand doesn't even exist now, but you just have to take a look at the different photography shops. I bought this one in a store here in Porto, Sítio do Cano Amarelo. They always have loads of cameras, but you can also find it at eBay.
The Photos
Eu tenho adorado como as fotografias têm ficado com esta câmara, a qualidade é realmente bastante diferente. O último 'film diary' que publiquei foi todo fotografado com esta câmara, por isso podem ver o resultado das fotografias AQUI. Aproveito também para vos dizer que essas fotos foram tiradas com um rolo 35mm Kodak ColorPlus 200, algo que também pode fazer a diferença.
I really love how the photos turn when I shoot with this camera, the quality is amazing. My latest 'film diary' was shot with this camera, so you can see those photos HERE. I should also mention that for those photos I used the 35mm Kodak ColorPlus 200 film, something that can also make a huge difference.
The Cons
Para mim, esta câmara tem apenas duas desvantagens. A primeira é que é bem maior e mais pesada que a minha point&shoot, o que no dia-a-dia faz muita diferença. E a segunda é não ter flash integrado. Claro que posso comprar um, mas, por enquanto, ainda não me fez grande falta, mas tinha de o mencionar de qualquer das formas.
To me, this camera only has two disadvantages. The first one is that it's way bigger and heavier than my point&shoot which can be a bit boring when you use it daily. The second one is not having a flash. Of course, I can buy one, but I don't really need it, but I think I should mention it anyway.
