O último dia do ano chegou e, por isso, o post de hoje é uma retrospectiva de 2019 com os melhores momentos de cada mês. Confesso que adorei fazer este post, o tempo passo tão rápido que às vezes esquecemo-nos dos momentos incríveis que vivemos. Aqui estão alguns dos meus.
The last day of the year is here so today's post is a review of 2019 with the best moments of each month. I really loved getting this post together, time goes by so fast that sometimes we forget the amazing moments we lived. Here are some of mine.
January
O ano não podia ter começado de melhor forma, pois, em Janeiro, fui até à minha cidade favorita, Londres. As idas a Londres são sempre highlights do meu ano, faço questão de ir lá todos os anos (a do próximo ano já está marcada) e em 2019 consegui ir lá duas vezes, o que foi fantástico.
The year started in the best way possible because in January I went to my favourite city, London. Going to London is always a highlight of my year, I make sure I go there every year (next year's trip is already booked), and in 2019 I went there twice which was great.
February
No início deste ano comecei a interessar-me por fotografia analógica e comecei a experimentar com máquinas fotográficas descartáveis. Lembro-me que também tivemos dias incrivelmente quentes em Fevereiro, basta olhar para o outfit que estou a usar na primeira foto, tive até mesmo de confirmar se tinha mesmo sido fotografado em Fevereiro, mas, de facto, foi.
At the beginning of the year, I started getting really interested in film photography and started experimenting with disposable cameras. I also remember that we had some weirdly warm days, just look at the first outfit of the first photo, I actually had to confirm if I had really shot it in February, but I really did.
March
Este ano fui várias vezes a Lisboa e é algo que quero fazer cada vez mais, é uma cidade que me inspira muito. Mas foi em Março que lá fui pela primeira vez em 2019. Lembro-me que o tempo esteve fantástico (o que torna sempre a viagem mais agradável) e foram dias incríveis pela capital.
This year I went to Lisbon a lot, and it's something that I want to do more often, it's a very inspiring city for me. But in 2019 I went there for the first time in March. I remember that the weather was amazing (which made the trip even better), and I had some amazing days over there.
April
Em Abril, criei conteúdo que realmente me sinto muito orgulhosa. Foi o mês em que decidi deixar de publicar ao fim-de-semana e não poderia ter feito melhor escolha. Consegui criar conteúdo ainda melhor para vocês e retirar bastante pressão de cima de mim. Também foi o mês em que criei a categoria 'Book Club' aqui no blog e tem sido conteúdo que tenho adorado criar e partilhar com vocês.
In April, I created content that I'm very proud of. It was the month that I decided to stop posting on the weekends, and it was the best choice I've made. I created even better content for you and took some pressure off me. In April, I also created the 'Book Club' category, and it's something that I've been loving to create and to share with you.
May
Maio foi passado no Porto e foram dias já com sabor a Verão. Fiz os meus primeiros dias de praia do ano e aproveitei o que de melhor a cidade tem. "Summertime and the livin' is easy", indeed.
I spent May in Porto, and the days finally started feeling like Summer. I went to the beach, and just really enjoyed the city. "Summertime and the livin' is easy", indeed.
June
Junho ficou marcado pela viagem a Paris. Tanto eu e como a Liliana já conhecíamos a cidade, por isso foi uma viagem bastante relaxada em que redescobrimos a cidade. Foram uns dias maravilhosos. Em Junho é também época de santos e a noite de S.João é sempre uma noite incrível aqui no Porto e, depois de ter estado fechada em casa com varicela, foi uma noite em que me diverti imenso.
Stand out moment of June was definitely going to Paris. Both me and Liliana have been there before, so it was a very relaxed trip that made us rediscovered the city. Thinking about these days really puts a smile in my face. In June it's time for midsummer celebrations, and S.João always is an amazing night here in Porto, and after being locked up at home with the chickenpox, it was a night that I had a lot of fun.
July
Se tivesse que escolher o melhor mês do ano seria, sem dúvida, Julho. Olhar para estas fotos faz-me sorrir só de pensar em todos os momentos maravilhosos que vivi. Estive novamente por Lisboa e, depois de no ano passado não ter ido a nenhum festival de música, este Verão fui a dois. Começou com o Super Bock Super Rock onde vi pela primeira vez ao vivo uma artista que adoro, a Lana Del Rey. Escusado será dizer que foi um concerto em que dancei imenso, chorei ainda mais e um momento que vou para sempre recordar.
If I had to choose the best month of the year, it defenitly was July. Looking back at all these photos makes me smile from so many amazing memories. I went back to Lisbon, and after not going to any music festival last year, this Summer I went to two. It started with Super Bock Super Rock where I saw performing live for the first time an artist that I really love, Lana Del Rey. I danced a lot, cried a lot, and it's a concert that I will always remember.
August
Não há mesmo nada como os meses de Verão. Agosto é o mês de um dos meus festivais favoritos e fui então ao Paredes de Coura. Já há muito que queria ver o Father John Misty e a Patti Smith ao vivo e finalmente consegui, além de ter descoberto outros artistas incríveis. No fim do mês, voltei a Lisboa, onde também me diverti imenso.
There's nothing like Summer months. August is the month of one of my favourite festivals, so I went to Paredes de Coura. I finally saw Father John Misty and Patti Smith live, and also found out some amazing artists. At the end of the month, I found myself in Lisbon again, where I had a lot of fun as well.
September
Setembro é o mês do meu aniversário e este ano decidi fazer algo diferente. Na altura partilhei com vocês, mas fiz uma pequena roadtrip por cidades do centro de Portugal e passei uns dias em Peniche. Não podia ter feito melhor escolha, foram uns dias fantásticos e uma forma excelente de passar o meu aniversário, visto que não é uma data que eu ligue muito.
September is my birthday month, and this year I decided to do something different. I shared everything with you, but I did a mini road trip around Portugal and spent a few days in Peniche. I couldn't have made a better choice. I had some amazing days, very relaxed, and it was an amazing way to spent my birthday since it's not a day that I'm a huge fan of.
October
Como vos disse, este ano fui duas vezes a Londres e, em Outubro, foi o mês da segunda visita. Apesar de ter adorado o Verão, na altura já estava a sentir saudades dos meses mais frios e foi a viagem perfeita para começar a sentir a vibe do Outono, uma estação que gosto muito. Também em Outubro voltei a Lisboa.
As I already told you, this year I went to London twice, and in October it was time for the second visit. Even though I love summer, I was really missing the colder month, and it was the perfect trip to finally get some Autumnal vibes, a season that I love. In October I also went back to Lisbon.
Em Novembro, criei um dos meus posts favoritos do ano, o post com as respostas às vossas perguntas. Todo o processo criativo foi bastante diferente do normal e deu-me mesmo muito gozo fazê-lo. É algo que quero trazer-vos cada vez mais no próximo ano.
In November, I created one of my favourite posts of the year, the post where I answered your questions. The creative process was very different, and I had a lot of fun putting that post together. It's something that I really want to bring more to the blog next year.
December
E chegamos a Dezembro, que foi também um mês incrível. Adoro a época natalícia e, se no ano passado não estava no mood natalício, este ano compensou a falta dele no ano passado. Espero que também vocês tenham tido um excelente Natal e desejo-vos um fantástico Ano Novo. É incrível como tanta coisa pode mudar apenas num ano, sem dúvida, que 2019 foi um ano em que aprendi imenso, mas estou pronta para aprender ainda mais e viver momentos ainda mais incríveis em 2020.
And now December, another amazing month. I love the Christmas time, and if last year I wasn't really in the mood, this year the Christmas mode was totally on. I hope you had an amazing Christmas, and wish you an amazing new year. It's amazing what can change in a year, I learnt a lot in 2019, but I'm super ready to learn even more and live some amazing moments in 2020.
