"I have come to realise that reading a Murakami book is not quite an act of reading itself but an act of dreaming with your eyes open". I read this quote somewhere, and it makes so much sense to me. I finished 'Sputnik Sweetheart' by Haruki Murakami a couple of weeks ago, and I still find myself thinking about this book over and over again. It was the first Japanese writer that I read, and it really blew me away. It tells the story of a love triangle: the narrator, K, who's an elementary school teacher is madly in love with Sumire, a former classmate of K's who dropped out of school to become a writer. Sumire is in love with Miu, a married woman with a hidden past. The novel exists on the border between believable and unbelievable, real and unreal, and it's full with metaphors. It's a brilliant book, and it really makes you think. But if you've read this book, please let me know what you thought about the ending, I would love to discuss it with you. If you haven't read it, I really recommend you to do it, it's an amazing book.

"I dream. Sometimes I think that's the only right thing to do".
