É certo que gosto muito mais desta altura do ano no que toca à moda, as opções de outfit são sempre mais. Mas chegámos àqueles últimos meses de Inverno em que o frio cada vez se sente mais (e em que eu começo lentamente a desejar que chegue a Primavera) e por isso temos de recorrer a todas às nossas melhores "técnicas" para enfrentar o frio. Hoje deixo-vos com algumas coisas que fui apreendendo ao longo dos anos.
It's true that I really like this time of the year when it comes to fashion, we have way more outfit options. But we came to those last months of Winter where it gets even colder (and I slowly start to wish for Spring) and so we have to resort to all our best "techniques" to beat the cold. Here are some of the things I learnt through the years.
- ACCESSORIES ARE NEVER TOO MUCH -
Gorros, chapéus, cachecóis, luvas...acessórios nunca são de mais. Já sabem que os baker boy hats são os meus preferidos, apesar de os usar no ano todo, no Inverno são bem mais úteis, pois também protegem do frio.
Beanies, hats, scarfs, gloves...accessories are never too much. You already know that baker boy hats are my favourites, although I use them all year round, on Winter they're way more usefull since they also protect you from the cold.
- BIG SLEEVES DON'T WORK -
Sabem aquelas camisolas de malha com mangas gigantes? São super giras e eu tenho algumas, mas nesta altura do ano não funcionam. Podem ser quentes, mas é impossível usar um casaco com elas, por isso guardem-nas para quando for possível sair à rua só com uma malha.
Do you know those knits with big sleeves? They're super cool and I have a few, but on this time of the year they don't work. They can actually be warm, but it's impossible to wear a coat with them, so keep them to when it's possible to leave the house only with a knit sweater.
- LAYERING IS THE ANSWER -
Nada melhor para combater o frio que te vestires em camadas. Uma camisola de gola-alta por baixo de uma camisola, um casaco por cima ou até mesmo dois casacos, as opções são imensas, só tens de dar asas à tua criatividade.
Nothing better to beat the cold than layering. A turtleneck under a sweater with a coat over it or even two coats, you have loads of options, you just have to be creative.
